Perfect

Works nicely. Thank you so much for using small fonts to get the whole title etc. of the song to display. That is a really good feature

Too many bugs

App works okay but just okay. My biggest pet peeve about it is that you can't effectively reverse or fast forward files effectively. I use the app to access my vast library of lectures on my cell phone and if I want to reverse or skip ahead in a talk, even for just a few seconds, the only options are to use either the fast forward or reverse function keys or slide the progress bar indicator back and forth. The problem is that both of these methods are so crude that it's extremely difficult to accurately gauge how far you've actually gone. For example, hold the reverse key for barely too long a moment and instead of going back a minute or so, you're sent back fifteen minutes or even much more, often to the very beginning of an hour long lecture. Developers really need to incorporate ten second reverse and fast forward keys like most other audio apps use, i.e. like Apple's Music app (which unfortunately is itself just another of Apple's many pathetically buggy apps and the main reason I switched to this app). Another major flaw occurs when batch uploading files as the app frequently and arbitrarily renames files, often unrelated to the batch one is uploading. For example, it will take the name of a previously uploaded file and apply it to an entirely new set of files, sometimes even naming each and every file in that batch with the same name, leaving one with a batch of identically named files and no way of telling them apart, one from another. I'm at the point of looking for another audio so that will function the way it should because this one is far from what it should be.

App useless

This app sucks it always says track load error I wish I never bought the full version the free version works fine I hate you developers of this app you are as dumb as your stupid app

Cloudbeats sucks for flac.

EGC128 on

Horrible app. Been trying to use this app to listen to flac music stored on a Synology NAS. FLAC is a high resolution lossless file format. Trying to play flac with a google home max over bluetooth is a very frustating experience. Bluetooth keeps disconnecting every few seconds. Google knows about this and refuse to fix the issue. The problem with bluetooth is that it only really works with lossy files like aac or mp3. Playing a flac over bluetooth, the audio will be reduced to lossy format. Cloudbeats could fix this by adding chromecast but they still refuse. Many other audio video apps include chromecast. Flac should be played over wifi only. The other option is to use an audio cable to play flac. Google home max does have an audio in port.

Well designed app that works

Moved all my music to Google Drive and have the app on my three IOS devices synced to Drive. When I add music to drive I quickly update my devices to reflect the change. One source. The only negative I can find is it takes a while for it to initially install all the data into the “My library” folder. It seems when the iPad goes into sleep mode the sync function pauses. The secret is to play music through the radio option so the app forces the iPad not to shut down. It took about 3 hrs to add my 50 gb to my iPad. Not a big deal. Moving the library data base on to the other devices was simple. Just back the data up to drive then do a restore on the next device. The owner of the app, Roman, is quick to answer questions. No this is not a paid review. I’m in PEI Canada.

Can’t delete songs

Pepperpants73 on

Canada

I’ve been using this app for about six months now. So I’ve had a good chance to really test it. The good: it’s easy to download songs from various cloud drives. The bad: it is impossible to delete songs you don’t like. The buttons and the functions are there but it is not capable to delete the songs. You have eventually will have a playlist of songs you don’t like and cannot delete. There are also too many playlist making it confusing to use. Overall, this app is not great and if you are looking for an MP3 player, look elsewhere.

CloudBeats Rocks!

Too many errors and support doesn’t help

gee563 on

I continually have an error where an artist has an “unknown folder” with songs and it will not play any of the songs in that folder. However in my OneDrive all of the data with the artist and album title is there so it works for some but not for others for no apparent reason as everything is saved and tagged in the same way in my OneDrive. I’ve sent this to support multiple times with screenshots and they have still not helped fix it. The most recent error I have had that is driving me crazy is it downloads my whole music collection so I can use it off-line and then I click into another folder on my linked OneDrive to try to download a playlist and it’s empty so I back out of that folder and boom all my songs I just waited for it to save offline have disappeared and they start to re-download all my music again. Also, in order to download the music off-line you have to keep the app front and centre you cannot have it in the background otherwise it pauses which means leaving my screen on the whole time that it is downloading This constant re-saving deletes all playlist I have and also settings. Very frustrating I’m almost done with this app - I paid for it and it is not meeting my expectations at all with those basic functionality is not working!

Last.FM Support for local/offline files

Wanted some way to scrobble local/offline/cloud-based files through my phone. This works perfectly. I even bought the Cloudbooks app by mistake at first and wasted $11, and I’m still giving this 5 stars haha

Stability has improved

Jamin11 on

Canada

Stability has improved. However, I am now wondering if there is a limit to number of files that can be downloaded for offline play? I am nowhere near phone memory limit but regularly have to re-download with message that file is corrupted. Would be 5 stars if I didn’t have to keep re-downloading files and if it had an equalizer.
