You can’t use this app unless you pay the monthly fee.
The app was free and did specify “In app purchases” but usually that means bonus material or at least access a small portion of the app. NOPE. You can not even open the app without paying a $4.00 MONTHLY subscription.
For what you get with this app, the price is too high. $4 a month for some room checklists? If it was a one time fee of $4 then that would make sense. You could just write the lists out and cancel before the free trial ends and save yourself money. Maximize your savings and minimize the cost.
I am retired and cannot afford $4 a month to use this app. I wish I could just pay for it once. Ongoing fees deter me from using it.
$4/month? Doesn’t seem very minimalist to me.
They must have worked out all the bugs with the app because I haven’t run into any problems of the problems from reviews earlier this year. Yes, this is a paid app, but if you’re serious about decluttering this is definitely the best (only?) decluttering app where you set up your own house. I like that you work at your own pace and can check off items as you go along, that’s very satisfying and motivating. There’s also a library of resources but I haven’t used that much yet really. May try it if I get stuck at some point. So far though I’ve got 3 boxes ready to donate!
I’m loving this app. I needed motivation to start decluttting my place and that’s what I got ! Easy to use, practical, so helpful. I love that we can take before and after pictures and save them. It gives that feeling of accomplishment! Awesome app!
This app enabled me to begin my journey on a decluttered home and life. I give it five stars for ease of use, thorough advice and encouragement at every step, and graphics to show improvement as I go. In one day I cleared out my dining room, which had been the repository for all things without a home for years. I was able to decide exactly what to donate (most of the clutter) and what to keep ( much less!) by following the suggestions of steps to go through which at the same time, reduced my anxiety at becoming overwhelmed. I am so happy with that room! And on to the next rooms, it’s just as helpful. There are articles for inspiration and encouragement, a classification of each room of the house as to how hard I think decluttering will be and a plan for action based on my answers to these questions, taking the emotional component out of decision making. I did not experience decision fatigue. Without this app’s help in a logical, step-wise manner of decluttering, I would have never gotten that room, or any room , done. Clutterfree has been invaluable to me, as a means to live the life I want to live, dispensing with what is unnecessary, with room to keep the favorite pieces that add to my enjoyment of my house. I just love the suggested order of rooms to tackle and the step-wise suggestions for attacking the room. I’ve gained a lot of insight to why I kept things and why I don’t need to anymore. That, in itself, is revelatory and keeps me from making the same mistakes again. For all the design, inspiration and feedback given when contacted, I give this app a High Five! I’m planning on giving gift subscriptions to friends who’ve expressed an interest in living better, but do not know how to get started. It’s awesome.
The general application design and introduction walkthrough are great to map out rooms and spaces in the home. A few things: users should be able to add more spaces and rooms after the initial walkthrough, and be able to edit (or delete and re-enter) manual task entries for each room. A final note for developers: don’t enable family sharing if you’re just going to require a new subscription on the other device in the same household. Or allow cloud sync between two devices using the same sign in account. A large part of minimalist living is the concept of open communication, and your app should show progress and a feature set towards that goal.
