Cool app!!
Excellent way of getting material properties of plates with CLPT. Includes the typical failure criteria (max stress, max strain, Tsai-Hill, Tsai-Wu, Hashin-Rotem) and a very user-friendly interface for defining loads and plate dimensions. Minor complaints are present, of course. The grey background makes seeing some things (like the resultant loads on the plate diagram) somewhat difficult to see. Other thoughts: 1. CLPT should be modified to incorporate sandwich core structures. 2. Capability to define and analyse box beams, shafts, shells, wings, etc. should be incorporated into the code. 3. Dynamic response (natural frequencies and damping) would be nice to have. 4. Would be nice to add in failure criteria for plates with holes and mechanically-fastened joints. 5. Buckling/failure modes should be included. 6. Fatigue analysis would be AWESOME! 7. Hygrothermal and residual stresses from processing? All in all, spectacularly well-executed app. As for the additions that would be nice to see in the app, I already have MATLAB scripts written for most of them.
