College Connects "CCnx"

Our mission is to provide high school student-athletes who aspire to play collegiate sports with more options regarding college placement, which may include opportunities for scholarships. The College Connects “CCnx” App bridges high school student athletes with colleges and their sports programs. Our database of profiles provides simultaneous online visibility and exposure for student-athletes, colleges, and collegiate sports teams, on one platform.

Choosing a college can be a very difficult and stressful task. It is also one of the biggest decisions a teenager will make. College Connects empowers student-athletes and their parent(s)/guardian(s) by offering a very inexpensive subscription, which provides vital information needed to make an informed decision. The “Scholly Bound” subscription is currently open to student-athletes aspiring to play collegiate men’s or women’s basketball. The College Connects Mobile App is available to high school student athletes in the United States and Canada.

The Scholly Bound subscription gives student-athletes access to our database of over 1000 college profiles, allowing student users to search for colleges based on selected criteria (Ex. College name, State, Division). Our results page provides direct links to each college’s homepage, majors/academic programs page, and specific athletic pages. In addition to querying/searching our college sports programs profile database, each student user can create a profile for one sport (currently men’s or women’s basketball) and select up to ten colleges of interest.

Scholly Bound focuses on connecting college coaches and student-athletes utilizing profiles, providing more college options, direct links, and an introduction to profiles of colleges, student users may have never heard of. Student-athletes and parents/guardians now have the ability to search, select, and most importantly, monitor college sports programs on their choice. The “Colleges of Interest” field in the Student User profile is used to inform college coaches of prospective student-athletes. In addition, college coaches can search the student athlete database and potentially contact/recruit student-athletes.

College Connects collects “personal data” from the account holder (name, email, phone#) and the student user (name, email, DOB) which is ONLY used for the College Connents account authentication. Some information is mandatory to create a profile, but most of the profile information is optional. Student users can view their profile in real time upon submission, which is available to be seen by college coaches and College Connects staff.
