College Packing List is designed to make your move to college fun, easy and organized!
- Start off with a master list of everything you'll need to bring to college, broken out into several subcategories.
- Check off items as you have packed them. This college checklist saves automatically.
- Every item on the default list comes with helpful tips which should be considered when shopping.
- Customize it: if you want to add or remove an item, you can do that too. You can also add item specific notes from the items detail page. You can also add quantities if there are items you need to pack more than one of (like shirts, underwear, etc).
- Filter it: are you out shopping and do you only need to see items that you need to buy? You can do that now!
- One click reset from the filter menu so you can start from scratch if you want to. There is also a button that allows you to set every item to needed, in case you're returning to the app after a year and you need to start packing for college. again.
Shopping Options:
- Browse and purchase items from our shopping partners, both from the item detail screens, as well as the inspiration tab. An immersive mobile shopping experience that helps you take care of the important items from where ever you are! Our curated lists of items help you stay organized.
- Mark items as favorites to add them to your My Dorm collage, a visualization of your college packing experience.

Amazing!!!!
Love this app, it's a life saver! Love the fact that u can add any items that is not already on the list so u can totally make it your own. Amazing!!!
Nearly There
This app is so nearly there. But it would be great to be able to add a note on each item. Shop, price, who gifted it etc.
Don’t get it try a different app
This app is a waste of time. It has a huge list of things that it thinks you need to bring, but it’s so overwhelming because you don’t need everything on that list, so I deleted all of them so I could make my own, and they all came back. I thought it was a glitch so I tried it again and it all came back. Plus the fact that you can’t add your own categories. There are much better apps out there!
A must have, but not why you think.
This app saved me when I was trying to move my dad to assisted living.
Did not work
At first, this app seemed perfect. I was able to add and subtract items from my list. Unfortunately when I clicked on the inspiration tab, nothing showed up. Then I closed out of the app and tried to re enter and I got kicked off the app. I even tried re-downloading the app and it did it again. This app hasn’t been updated in 5 years so it has so many bugs! Do not waste your time! Do not get this app!
Calmed down much anxiety!
I love this app so much!! The one thing I could think of to make it better, would be including a way to attach images. Somethings I planned on packing with things already in them, and it might have been nice to have the photos of how I wanted it organized on the app!
Nice to have but OLD
Lots of nice things to have are listed but you can really see the age of the app with things listed like (cabled phone with answering machine, CDs & DVDs, and MP3 player) over all cool app but you can tell it’s old.
Good but not quite
I like this app a lot and I think it’s very useful, however the “inspiration” and “my dorm” tabs do not work at all. I also can’t add any of my own items to the list, when I press enter it will not work. If these things were fixed it would be perfect! Very easy to use.
Great App
This a very helpful app with great features. It would be even better if lists could be shared, like grocery store lists can be. This way, as a student and parent think of things to add or purchase they can each update the shared list!
