Bug fix
Worked for a couple month then one day the pages just wouldn’t load after saying books were downloaded successfully. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still won’t work.
There’s a lot of stuff here, it’s like education. Well it’s all about you you can just read a book a reading book well kinda good. Well there’s some bugs that got squashed on the iPad. Well it’s good 🌟 ❤️ you can read anything well it’s kind of good sometimes it just does something and then all just close the app. Well it’s kind of funny well also like Times Tables Rock Stars and also Ed shed well it’s kind of good it’s like a learning app for little kids in year two can get your child entertained to read, reading books it’s good, I downloaded the app with my guardian done that looks like a nut date. Well it doesn’t have anything but there’s no purchases. There’s no ads it’s just a exciting book app.
Login not working in app, but fine in web browser. My version states 1.0.258.1 App Store does not seem to be giving me latest version 3? What’s going on
Primary school is setting books on this for my child to read. First off this app is not supported on Kindle! So I am left using it on a phone or PC. Secondly I have to zoom in to make the words on the page the right size to read and the book pages don’t resize to the screen. Also lots of books for this age range are double spread and it only shows a single page at a time. Altogether badly designed app and not thought out. I would get rid of it if the school were not using it!
Just installed the app and went through the guided tour. The buttons are not even highlighted. It just moves on the top of the ebook saved in the app. Very confusing.
This app feels so dated. Page doesn’t rotate on device, so you can’t see the double page as you would in a book… Doesn’t sync across devices either which is frustrating. Both of these things are simple but make a big difference in user experience and I would have expected in this era of remote working.
The app keeps crashing. Have to turn off iPad to reset it. The books only display 1 page yet most books are spread across 2 pages. Not the best app in the world considering Collins are a well recognised company.
Have to use this as school issues ebooks for reception year on it. Works reliably but could be better. 1. Many books for this age range are of a double spread layout with illustrations and text that works across two pages but the app restricts you to a single page at a time. This means that, even with the iPad in landscape you have to skip back and forth to get the gist sometimes. Eg. a character is pointing and saying “he took it” but pointing off the edge of the page at what should be the opposite page. I think this was working correctly on the web version so please allow double spread layout on iPad too. 2. To advance or go back you have to swipe or hit small arrows on very edge of screen. Please allow an option to simply tap towards the edge of the page as on Kindle. 3. When holding down a finger over a word or just under it, it will do something unwanted such as putting a bubble near the word or drawing a rectangle around the whole page or bringing up the menu bar. Haven’t the developers ever read a book with a young child? You or the child will ALWAYS want to point at the words with your finger. It’s irritating to point at the word and then have to tap again to clear UI junk that appears, or to be forced to use the blunt end of a pen etc. For early year books need option to disable touch input near text.
It’s good not bad sure that may just be for me but it’s good And it must just be other people are having trouble and I may just not.
