The app has appropriate colorization for Ferrotype (aka tintype) photos from the 1850’s.
Paid for 10 photos and only could colorize one before I was “out of credits.” Also colorization was crap.
I’d give this app a D-. It is a little less than fair for general background or simple scenery. However, if you are looking to colorize a portrait, I think you will be very disappointed. It doesn’t really seem to have the capabilities to color hair, skin, eyes, etc.
Only when you do the camera roll it says you don’t have credits- what does that even mean? It doesn’t tell you how much it is.
I have a load of old pictures. I managed to use this app to automatically colorize a bunch of them. Didn’t work for all pictures, but made a big difference in some. Glad I got it.
Bought 50 credits on sale based on prior successful use, only to find app now just crashes on iPhone. Asking for refund.
I’ve enjoyed the app for several months, but now it will process only about a quarter of a full photo and crash. Bottom line - The app is now useless on both my iPhone X and iPad until fixes are made. Word of advice - Don’t download or buy anything here until the update. Wish I didn’t have to write this review, but the Developer offers no feedback option.
Neural networks are something people should have the freedom to explore in their early stages. I was very excited to try this one out only I can’t afford to pay per picture. Anyone saying the colorization effect isn’t what you’d expect is unaware that the networks take time to improve and eventually this app will work like a charm!
Don’t waste your money. They want you to buy credits but there is a website exactly like this that you can use for free... 😕
