UPDATED: The Browser For The Rest Of Us

Its That End User Again on

United States

The rest of us are: Not casually browsing teh internets or using a browser for mindless empty carbs for your brain. The rest of us utilize the web for more complicated and important needs. We needed a browser that could handle strictly dedicated tab groups. Notes and highlights of website contents. The ability to save and export. Personally, no other browser could handle my web needs. I dive deep into research on multiple subjects. To note, The developer has what it takes and makes to be a role model for the rest in the apple community. Kudos. Proudly paid for this app! UPDATE: Still using command and have watched it grow! The dev is ON TOP of their work, receptive to feedback and easy to contact.

3.9.6 crashes. Notion sync and Chrome extension please??

I ❤️ you Command but ... Please, please address the crashes that occur every time I long-press a piece of highlighted text, choose Journal, then OK it. Thanks! Also ... 1⃣ Notion integration needs reworking IMO so that tags made in Command stay attached to specific highlights (as they are when they are created in Command) . Currently, when sent to Notion, tags get rolled up into a bundle as a property of a URL and as a result information (that tag X was attached to highlight Y) is LOST. To fix this, I think the Highlights table needs to have each *highlight* as its entity/row/granularity, rather than URL. Ideally a related "Pages" table with URL as base would store page title and page-scope comments. If that's hard (or not possible to auto-populate related fields?) then URL and page title could just be properties of each highlight in the Highlight table, with those values repeated for each highlight in a page. 2⃣ I really miss being able to highlight also from my laptop and to see highlights I've made in the past A Chrome extension would be perfect. (Diigo implements this nicely ... but seems abandoned) 3⃣ Data protection: I'd love to know that my Notion data isn't being exposed to accidental sharing or even erasing. Maybe Notion limitations make that impossible to guarantee but I suggest you at least warn of what could happen by giving you the keys to my data there.

“Open in Command” on Safari stopped working since last update

I like to use Safari in conjunction with Command, because Safari feels faster for general browsing. That said, Command’s highlighting features are unmatched. I’ve tried using different extensions and apps for web highlighting, but none feel as good as Command. I love that Command will still show the highlight on the screen, even after reloading the page. The Readwise integration is also very nice, and I like that tags added in Command carry over to Readwise. Not even Readwise’s own app lets you add tags right from the web page on mobile — you have to manually open the app and add tags later. Unfortunately, I’ve been using Command less and less lately because the Share -> Open in Command button in Safari hasn’t been working since the last update two months ago. Pressing Open in Command just takes me to a blank white web page, and it has to do with how Command has been automatically formatting web links. Links sent from Safari to Command will open as https// instead of https://. It’s been super inconvenient to have to manually edit every link myself just so the page will open. Please fix this.

First of all: I really hope the developer/s will read this. I am a fellow dev (I know the joy and the pain) so my next sentence comes with a grain of salt. This is the way mobile browsing need to be addressed, in my opinion. The pop up system is a leap forward and it is by itself a triple A feature, the tab system is finally usable and snappy and although much will surely be done the overall experience is really great. Kudos. The less nice part of the review follows. - What happened to copy and paste ? Basically, long pressing on a selection or on a text box or input box results (at least here) in a nice small menu with some autoFill option with password and contacts. No copy no paste no share … I looked around especially for copy and paste but still no luck here . Surely I may be looking into the wrong place but still - Blocking files ? Many times, especially when loading viewable files like pdf or when loading files that appears as metadata (like epub) and are not downloaded immediately . It happens when the connection is slow either on my or on server side. Let’s say the file is big and it takes twenty seconds to load: I have no easy way to cancel the loading and the done button does not work. The browser is responsive I mean I can do some kind of random taps and achieve the tab menu and I have the bar loading but still Thanks again

I have never left a review for any app before today. This app honestly has blown me away from the lightning fast browsing speed to the beautiful UI and animations of the app. The amount of organization is immense and I’m here for the long haul!
