Excellent tracker

mpic20 on

I’m using this app for a few years now and it’s great to see the evolution of my performance over the years in a single graph. I especially enjoy the pace vs heart rate graph which is a great way to evaluate the amount of effort vs results. I haven’t seen this in any other app.

Doesn’t Work With Garmin Connect

Reviewer166 on

Unfortunately the app has a lot of trouble access Garmin Connect as it has trouble working with people’s usernames. It wants to try different letter casing, when you try that it still doesn’t work. I even tried copying and pasting my username but the app still can’t connect properly. The good news is it can connect with Apple health on your phone. Luckily I got to download it and try it when it went free, but I wouldn’t purchase a copy of this app till you see they have worked out connecting to Garmin Connect in the reviews. As this is the major draw for the app and part of its name, this is a huge problem.

Great app, room for improvements

odaigle on

I really love this app. It is a very handy companion to running and biking devices. It provides more statistics than what is available in Garmin connect, for instance. One very simple but very useful improvement that could be made is to be able to change the scale of the graphics. Right now, every graph is auto scaled to the min/max of the data. Most of the time, however, it is relevant to zoom in the data to see slight trends. For example, changing the y axis of the speed chart would allow to better see a trend of slowing down from 32 to 30 kph over the ride. If the graph is over the full scale, say 0 to 70 kph, such a trend is very difficult to see. Same goes for the x axis, when one would want to analyse a given portion of the ride rather than seeing the whole ride all the time. These simple improvements would greatly increase the usefulness of the app.

Love it

Great in depth analysis such as heart rate, zones and more that you need to pay $$$ in other applications like zwift.

Good way to view Garmin data on an iPad

We meet again trebek on

Garmin does not make an iPad specific version of Garmin Connect. I prefer the larger screen for reading and especially for things like data plots. This app fills that gap. The only area I wish it was better was to replicate more of the same plots Garmin Connect does on the iPhone. Otherwise, it is definitely worth the money.
