Consumer TPMS Reviews

Will not connect

Son_Of_Yeti on

I bought the pulse FX to monitor my camping trailer tires. It will not connect. I’ve tried restarting my phone, uninstalling the app but it’s no better. This is very frustrating trying to get it working. Then I though maybe the batteries went dead in the sensor(s). But not both at the exact same time. And when I checked, the batteries are not replaceable. Seems to be another buy it and throw away item. Less than 1 year old and no more than 1200 miles. I’ve also tried to disconnect and reconnect every cable. Sill searching devices. Beginning to feel like I loss money on this system.

Loses settings

Almost useless because it loses your saved vehicles, forcing you to re-add everything again, which is very very slow and cumbersome. I’m at the point where I’m probably going to throw away the $700 in hardware because this app is so terrible.

Using it everywhere I take my coach. The developers have been very responsive to my questions and have even made some improvements based on my recommendations! Keep it up!

New update is bad

First latest update will not stay connected. If it won’t stay connected it can’t alert you to a problem Second this app does not need to know my location

App Needs Bluetooth

Update: it seems to be hit and miss weather I am able to connect my iPhone XR to the PulseFX unit. I thought it had to do with my UConnect, but it doesn’t seem to matter if that is connected or not. I have been unable to connect or the device at all for the last two days. I’ve restarted my phone reloaded the App, unplugged the power from the PulseFX. None of these actions have allowed a successful Bluetooth connection. In the last two months that I’ve used the unit I’ve had some random connection issues but it seems to have come to a head now with zero ability to connect. I cannot be connected to my RAMs Bluetooth Uconnect radio before connecting to the PulseFX. I found that if I first disconnect Uconnect and then connect PulseFX, and lastly connect Uconnect. Both devices then function. I’d expect that this can be fixed with an application update. I’ll update my review as soon as this is fixed as this really is a show stopper for me. Most everything else was smooth- Provisioning each of my 6 5th wheel tires worked great and they all paired easily and reliably, except my phone went to sleep once and I had to completely reestablish the connection to the PulseFX- no big deal.

Best TPMS app I’ve tried..

User friendly, and best version I’ve used of any TPMS apps. Has some bugs, but far better than the others! With the app being new I expected the bugs and they’ve quickly found solutions I’ve noticed. Recommend this one.
