Cookmate lets you create your own digital cookbook. Build your own recipe database by gathering recipes on the web and using the import features.

You are looking for a new recipe ? Use our searching engine to find a new recipe on the web. When you have found one you like, import it into Cookmate. Then you will be able to view it everywhere on your phone or your tablet. You can add your own photo, change ingredients or directions, or add you own comments

You already have a cookbook ? Add a new recipe into Cookmate manually, scan your recipes from your favorite books and magazines or import your digital cookbook using one of the file formats we support like Meal Master (.mmf), MasterCook (.mxp), LivingCookBook (.fdx) , ReKconv (.rk)...

You want to share some recipes with your friends ? Invite your friends to join Cookmate, share your recipes with them and view their recipes. Or share your recipes on Facebook or by email, sms, and others. You can also send them a “Cookmate” file they will be able to load into their app

Cookmate (formerly My CookBook) also includes these features :
• Create shopping lists using your recipe ingredients
• Scale the ingredients to serve more or less people

Cookmate (formerly My CookBook) is also available on your desktop.

Do not use

It’s a great app except…… after a certain period of time you have to upgrade or you can’t access you recipes. It gets very old apps saying they are free when clearly they aren’t

A great app with some fine tuning needs

I love this app for keeping my tried-and-true and day-to-day recipes. No more losing recipe cards or keeping dozens of recipe tabs open. The visuals make it easy to find the right recipe, the categories and tags are great for searching and keeping organized, I can make my own edits and and upload my own photos, and it’s easy to share with friends and peruse their favourites too. I LOVE how it automatically finds the right info from webpages and imports the recipe - bye bye endless scrolling and adds messing the layout! This is arguably one of the best and most useful functions because it improves ease of use, meaning I will actually use it instead of waiting for time and mental energy to manually import from a website, which will almost never happen. It’s also different from Pinterest because the imported info will never 404. I only import recipes I actually want to keep for easy reference, rather than looking through a million recipes I think I want to try. However, there are some UI/UX quirks that could be improved to the navigation, making it easier to add categories and tags, removing extra unnecessary button clicks and working out some of the user flow. However, these don’t directly impact the usefulness of the app and can be worked around once you’ve learned what doesn’t work well.
