I have been looking for a recipe organizer for a long time and I just happen to stumble across this app. It is phenomenal! I have used it to organize all of my recipes. It is extremely easy to use. I absolutely love it! I also bought the lifetime subscription. Even the free version is great. You will not regret your purchase! Recommend with five stars!
No more ability to print a recipe unless you buy the premium version??
I have enjoyed Copy Me That for several years. Recently i searched and found one of my 600+ recipes and could not print it out like before. I admit i am old and i would rather hold a book and read it than read on an electronic device. I miss the ability to print the recipe so i can read along and check off where i am.
Love the app except….
I love this app as long as I’m at home with internet connection. I took my iPad with me camping with no service and the app was useless. I couldn’t pull up any recipes and had to go out on the trails to find 5G so we could make dinner. I was hoping to give this app 5 stars but sadly cannot. The developer needs to make this app usable offline.
Worth it for free version, great extras with premium
I've had this app for four years. The first two I had the free version, and I hardly used it. I liked it. I just didn't feel drawn in by it. After two years I thought about deleting it, but I decided to try the premium first. Im glad I did. Some of the premium features such as sorting recipes into collections, and having more than one grocery list keep me going back to the app. I usually use a notebook app to make my list and print it out, but this time around Im going to try printing from the app.
A few suggestions or ideas (that don't affect the quality of the app or my opinion of it being a five star app):
I know there is a red, white, and gray color scheme happening, but the collections button blends into the background and looks like an un clickable link. It would be decent if it was red.
Also, swiping left or right between recipes would be easier instead of having to go back to the list.
This is probably a browser issue, not the app, but Chrome should have an option to share the way Safari does. Chrome is my go to, but it's three steps to share compared to one with Safari. I end up using Safari, but it can be laggy.
At any rate, this app is definitely at the top of the list of other meal planning recipe apps. I too wish there was an app that would save or scan screen shots, but that would definitely cost more. I have an app that I bought because it will scan cookbook pages. However, it doesn't work all that well, and unlike CMT, most of the app is hidden behind a pay wall. So, thanks, to CMT for making their free version unlimited recipes. It's worth it for that. However, Im more than happy to pay the low once yearly cost for this app's premium features.
You're forced to create an account
The first screen that pops up is to create an account or login so there's no way to check the app out and get some stick time with it before you decide to create an account or not. Hard pass. deleted.
Best App Ever!
When I began the search for an app to store, organize and catalogue recipes, I had a very specific list of requirements I was looking for. When I came across the Copy Me That app, I was really impressed with all the features in the free version so I decided to give it a try. Now I can’t live without it and use it on a daily basis. I’ve become much more adventurous in the kitchen and have tried so many new recipes because of the ease in organizing and storing recipes on the app. It has literally changed my kitchen game and I’m so grateful to have this resource that not only has all the functionality I was looking for but is also user-friendly and has multi-features. Thank you to the creators of this amazing app!
Must have app for saving and using recipes
Easiest app, hands down, to save recipes. I can easily sort the recipes later to find what I need. I can also edit the recipes I save.
Great!!
I don't know how I lived without this. I saved recipes at every site and then couldn't remember where they were and forgot about them. I tried Pinning them but didn't really like that app. Then I tried Copy Me That. Game changer. I could put things in categories, put in my ratings and notes (I include changes I made and the website in case I want to go back to it for some reason too), and have it all in one place. Ever get to the store and need to switch up the menu because something wasn't available, but you aren't sure what you needed for another recipe? No issue. Easy access in the phone app.
The Perfect Meal Planning App!
Ya’ll!! If you struggle with meal planning, juggling multiple cookbooks and millions of websites, getting your shopping lists made without forgetting a key ingredient for the week then THIS IS THE APP THAT WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING. I am not kidding!! I’ve been using the app for about a year and have recently decided to change my diet for health reasons. I already had a bunch of recipes that I had copied and made, but now I need to change the foods I eat. Solution? Archive the recipes I no longer plan to use and start searching for new ones! Once I have recipes for the week, I add them quickly and easily to the meal planner. Then I direct the app to make a shopping list for me. Next, I edit the shopping list, removing items I already have in my pantry. Then I shop for my ingredients and start cooking. Today, I realized that the meal I planned for dinner would be better for this weekend and needed to switch the weekend meal to tonight. Less than 5 clicks later my week’s plan was reorganized…no muss, no fuss. And to really make things easy, the app even synchs with my Apple calendar so my daily notifications remind me of what I am planning for breakfast, lunch and dinner! I can even add extra reminders in the meal planner section to remind me to thaw a pound of chicken two days before I plan to cook it. INCREDIBLE!! And do you know what is the icing on this incredibly delicious app? The developer is so quick to respond to questions or problems. If you’re on the fence, give it a try. You won’t regret it…especially because it’s free. But give it a week or two and you will want to purchase the one time upgrade so you can enjoy ALL of the bells and whistles FOREVER. What are you waiting for?! Seriously, get this app now!!
Great app!
I just wanted to let the developers know that I love this app. It’s so easy to use and I reference it constantly. Thank you!
