Description

Corner is a social map that turns your memories into recommendations you can share with friends.
- Curate your favorite places: Create a personalized map of your life story so you can remember all the places you love as you live and travel the world. Unlike other review platforms, Corner is focused on sharing memorable experiences, not negativity and complaints.
- Save places from anywhere: Share links from Instagram, TikTok, Maps, or your favorite websites directly to Corner. We use AI to find the place and automatically save it to your Corner for you. Build your ultimate bucket list of places to go.
- Share your lists: Your profile, lists, and places are all sharable with a link. You can text your lists to friends who are visiting or link your profile in your bio to share with your online communities – no app needed!
- Get personalized recommendations: The more you use Corner, the more we learn about your taste. Watch your discovery page become more curated over time. Browse any city in the world and find places that feel like home. You’ll never have to spend hours planning and researching from scratch.
- Consolidate your photos and places: Some of the best memories are tied to places. Your photos on Corner are only viewable by mutual followings and through your public lists.
Corner is a home for people who take places as seriously as we do. Join us in reimagining how technology can bring us closer to our friends, communities, and the physical world around us. Reach out if you have any feedback or have any questions! [email protected]

Corner Reviews

Best discovery app for restaurants and cafes, but could tighten up a bit.

NathanGuergis on

I’ve been using Corner quite a bit over the past 5 months and it’s absolutely become my fav discovery app for restaurants, cafes, boutiques, etc. If you want to find spots that are *really* iykyk and off the beaten path, then this probably won’t catch most of them. However, it is a great amalgamation of hip Instagram/TikTok spots for if you’re traveling to a new city for the first time. I think the biggest hurdle that Corner has is their approach to UI and the user experience. They give the user a lot of freedom in how they curate “their Corner”. The app takes a list-based approach, but things can get messy and overwhelming fast. It almost feels like they give the user so much rope that they can easily hang themselves. For example, if you want to make a list for spots in your city, then you’ll obv start adding restaurants, cafes, clubs, boutiques, museums, etc. But now that creates a new problem of having everything mixed into one list. It just feels sloppy. I also have the problem of having places I frequent as well as bucket list spots in one list - it feels messy. So the current solution is to create multiple lists (I.e. New York cafes, New York lunch spots, New York museums, etc.) But you can also see how THAT can feel sloppy. A solution could be master lists and sub lists. For example, ‘Toronto’ could be the master list and Cafes, Breakfast Places, TDL, Spring Trip, etc could be your sub lists within it. All that being said, I’ve gotten used to the current format and am having fun with it, but it was daunting at first. I’ve also recommended the app to friends + family, but when they try to use it, they get overwhelmed and give up shortly after. Last improvement I hope they make is to live up to the “Build YOUR Corner” tagline. I don’t really mesh with the vibe of most of the people on this app, and that’s fine. Yet, you see a bunch of people’s comments and lists even if you’re not following them. I think it’d be nice if you could get like 10-15 friends on the app and create your own little closed off bubble where recommendations will have higher value to you. Aka, *your* Corner. Love this app and hope to see it succeed!

I’m sending this to all my friends

This app is crazy! Before I was writing everything down in a note on my phone or adding favs in google maps. This is so much more fun

love the concept, eager for better implementation

love the idea of this app - one thing is that I can't view a map of things that I personally saved. I'm not super interested in the global list, so would love this feature (or this bug fixed if I'm supposed to be able to see it)

Please fix privacy settings

I love this app and recommend it to everyone! However with the recent update, your ability to make private lists is somewhat worthless as people can still view your private lists via your “recents”. Hopefully this gets fixed in the next update, so I can change my review to 5 stars

Has Potential

Has Potential, however every time I go to add something from Instagram, it freezes up and doesn't get past the "finishing up" loading portion.

Best app for a new city

TLDR: use this app for whenever you go to a new place. You can either find great places that have been noted by other users, or treat it as a POI diary like I do. It’s a great way to document your trip and the place you’ve been too.

The corner team has made an amazing application. It’s great search engine for discovering new and hidden gems around the globe. I also love the interface and allows me to easily share my travel lists with friends and family.

This app ROCKS

The fact that I am leaving an app a review is crazy. I’m not a foodie. And never will be. Absolutely love being able to type in “cozy retro cafe” when I have no idea where I am and actually getting exactly that. Corner team keep it going

Great start

Great idea, import feature for google maps is buggy only 10-15 of a list of 50 will import. Wish we can also transfer or save locations to more than one already existing lists.
