Cortex Cloud FAQ
Is Cortex Cloud free?
Yes, Cortex Cloud is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Cortex Cloud legit?
🤔 The Cortex Cloud app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
Hi,
The app is good but really basic
Couple things I noted:
Search is case sensitive which is a mess
There is no sort option, for instance if you want to search for the most voted presets, you cant
More search options, still too basic
To get in 1 click all the captures of a preset and not to go one by one searching for it
Im missing the Ipad version of the software
So far this is what I noted, hopefully they will come at some point as part of improvement of the app.
Thanks !!!
Worked fine now nothing..
Every time I open the app it’s stuck on the loading page.
Not happy
Worked great …. For first year. Than one day it never opened up again. Just get the landing page. Completely cut off from the app.
Does the Thing
Easy to share. Easy to follow people. I use it to work on presets with a friend. It’s fun to go in a rabbit hole of seeing who the people you follow, follow. Find good stuff that way. TIP:If you’re not following John Cordy both here and YouTube, you’re missing out.
Needs an ipad version
This app is a good start. It replicates the website well.
However, it is only optimized for small phone screens. Most guitarists I know use their QC with their iPads, so having an app that takes advantage of the larger screen area would be really nice.
Quad Cortex midi control?
Nice! Would be great to be able to assign midi controls from the app. Midi learn for effect parameters…
Totally inaccessible for screen readers
Hey, this app is totally inaccessible for people using screen readers for the blind. Specifically VoiceOver. It’s bad enough that the product itself is inaccessible. At least they could’ve had the mobile app accessible. I would expect more from a developer such as this.
Very Nice
A great app but there is still a lot of room for improvement. Improvement mostly lies in sorting, rating, and search features. Also required descriptions is a must. Sorting by most popular is a waste of time as YouTube influencers will always top the lists, good or not.
Needs better filtering/sorting options
The cortex app does what it’s intended to do. Cool that you can follow people. The interface is in bad need of sorting/filtering by popularity for presets and captures though. This feature could be easily implemented given the fact that there’s already a star count by the presets and captures.
Super Average
It does what it says but not much more. Would be great if we could filter in general (ie most downloaded, highest rated, etc).
It seems more built to share presets with friends and less about interacting with the community as a whole
