Cosmostation FAQ
Is Cosmostation free?
Yes, Cosmostation is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Cosmostation legit?
🤔 The Cosmostation app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
This wallet is great. However, a few things hinder it from being the best in the cosmos. First, the dapp browser is not an actual browser. The user is limited to accessing a pre-ordered list of dapp sites. Adding a search bar capability, like most other wallets have, would be a dramatic improvement and would allow the user to visit dapp web 3 sites beyond what the wallet limits them to. Second, the wallet has problems swapping from chains that have both a cosmo and evm address. For example, you cannot swap Kava unless you are swapping it from a legacy address. Third, and really important, is the lack of chain availability. Competitive cosmo wallets (Keplr and Leap) provide access to more native and non-native chains than Cosmostation. Fourth, the wallet does not always give one the ability to swap or send crypto to another chain or wallet due to a prompt that says “balance is to low.” However, other wallets allow for the gas to be changed, the auto “no” this wallet prompts on occasion is very unappealing.
On the plus side, Cosmostation outperforms competitor wallets in the swap and staking functions, and the organization of tokens according to their home-chains is very appealing compared to other wallets. However, the app does not display all the IBC tokens one has in the each chain. For example, one might have atom, osmosis, and usdc.axl IBC tokens in the LUM chain, and the wallet only displays the atom and osmosis tokens. Whereas other wallets, such as Keplr and leap, will display all of them. So, I think Cosmostation is a great wallet, but it does have a few areas in need of improvement. Make these improvements, and it would be a solid 5 star rating.

App keeps crashing
App crashes every time I put in the recipients address in. Please fix
Unusable
Constantly crashes. Cannot vote, cannot claim my rewards, cannot re-stake, cannot compound the rewards. Also, the new user interface is far worse than the previous one. It’s not intuitive at all. Whoever designed it should be fired. I never had issues with this app previously. But now I simply cannot use it.
Great non-custodial wallet app.
If your looking for a wallet to quickly manage staking and to send via IBC this wallet is great. Can do some defi but has trouble connecting to some dapps. Staking is managed individually chain by chain and interface for staking is better than Keplr (in my opinion). The IBC feature is where this app shines. When sending you can simply choose which chain you are sending to and all imported addresses are easily available through a dropdown menu. Can also save addresses. This is non-custodial so better have your mnemonic written down somewhere safe where you can find it even years later. If this app ever has issues and you can’t wait for resolution, then your mnemonic will work with any non-custodial wallet. Of course find one that supports the chains you want to access. Though I’ve been using this app since around 2019 and never had an issue take more than a few days to be fully resolved. Usually just a couple hours.
New interface buggy, just plain garbage
I absolutely hate the new interface. It’s clunky, confusing, and takes more steps to accomplish the same actions as before. Also it’s inconsistent. I sometimes have the option to open dapps, other times it disappears entirely. I also lost the app to swap coins randomly. This update is just awful and unusable. I want to revert back please.
Also there is an awful interface choice when sending a memo with transaction. I sent to an exchange and lost funds because the memo did not stick when I pasted it in memo field. BE CAREFUL NOT TO LOSE YOUR FUNDS LIKE THIS. This interface is just amateurish and cheap.
Wen ETH?
When ETH wallet with ETH staking 🥩
Trashier than Trump
No ledger support. No watching addresses for 3 months. They want people to input their private keys which is a big no-no. Developers know this, yet they ship this app with the known vulnerability. They have had ample time to add watching addresses back or to add true ledger support. This could be a great 5 star app, but right now it’s just pure trash.
Great app to get an Overview on Cosmos SDK holdings
This is a great overview app for SDK Cosmo holdings. Will there be support for Oraichain?
App won’t open- crashes immediately
App crashes/closes every time when trying to open.
Thank god I pulled before this mess.
