System is less than a year old and we have to bypass zones to get it to arm. It will loose supervision frequently. It only worked correctly for the first few months at best.
It seems Cove is either owned or owns Eufy cameras which is the manufacturer of the cameras they use. However the Cove app and touch panel will not connect to the cameras right now due to what customer support tells me is an issue with their app and advised me to download the eufy app and use it instead for the time being. That being said, it kind of defeats the purpose of buying and owning the cove system if half of it refuses to work and I have to use a different app entirely to view cameras and then come back to cove to see door and window sensors. The could not give me a better resolution or a time frame on when I could expect the cove app to work with the eufy cameras. Not thrilled.
I switched to Cove from SimplySafe mainly due to the upgraded security panel. We got our equipment, installed it, and it all worked fine except neither of the cameras will connect with this App. I tried for over 6 hours. The app freezes while adding the cameras and fails to connect. To test the cameras I added them to the Eufy Security app just fine, but this app is horrible and constantly crashes. Going back to SimplySafe.
Do not buy Cove unless you like cheep equipment
I can not see my door bell camera
This has to be the worst security app ever. The sensor always say my doors are open. The alarm trips literally everyday. In the middle of the night it just goes off and says window sensor or door open and it never it. I takes three tries of opening the app for it to actually work. Go with Ring honestly don’t waste your time or money here.
There are quite a few options out there today for security systems and I chose COVE. It was quite honestly the least expensive system I could find regarding both equipment and monitoring. It was incredibly easy to install and during installation a COVE customer service rep helped me. And COVE’S response time is phenomenal! I learned this through a couple of false alarms so I know when the real thing happens, COVE will be there for me!
Aside from the camera integration in the app this system is great. Now they need to find someone to get their cameras integrated in the app so I can actually set up activity zones and not have to rename my cameras every time I open the app. Their customer service is a joke as well. It’s just a lot of people reading canned responses instead of someone who actually knows what they are talking about. Will revise once they fix their app.
I had high hopes for the app and I just set up the system so it’s taking a little to get used to compared to my last system. ***One thing I absolutely miss is the ability to see ALL of the time stamped events (doors, windows etc),that were open and closed throughout the day, when the alarm was armed, when it was disarmed etc. Please include this “activity log” of ALL sensors on the next update in the “Events” tab. *** Another strange thing is the flood/freeze sensors show up twice. Once as I named them and again as their original names; I.E. Flood 1, Flood 2 etc. This is just weird. Overall, the interface is a bit “clunky” and needs some refinement. Please continue to update and improve.
