Coverage? focuses on helping mobile bandwidth junkies find cell signal as they roam. Save time looking up coverage on the carrier's websites, compare their claims head to head and better plan your travels to stay connected.
** The carrier's maps in your pocket: This app contains regional level maps based off of each major carrier's data map - as found on their website as of our last update. Quickly overlay the carriers you use to create your own personalized coverage map on your device.
** No internet needed: Our proprietary coverage maps are stored within the app on your device - no downloading needed! Quickly access where you're supposed to get a signal, even when you have none.
** Urban and rural areas: Maps are at a regional level, and cover the entire continental USA, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
** Carriers included: AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, US Cellular.
** Canadian Carriers: Bell, Telus, Rogers (optional unlock)
** Know where to roam: view 5G, LTE, and roaming areas as overlays, focus on finding the coverage type you desire.

Coverage FAQ:
Q: Why aren't the maps more detailed or released more often?
A: Our map updates require a lot of meticulous labor intensive processing. There's just no practical way to issue a new update every time a new tower is turned on. We monitor new coverage and try to find balance between effort & staying current. This generally means at least a couple updates a year.
Q: What makes 'Coverage?' unique?
A: There are great apps out there that collect user submitted signal reports - we recommend them and use them ourselves. However, those apps are only useful in markets with an active user base. We took a different approach with Coverage? - we needed a tool to at least give us an idea of where signal should be - urban, rural, and out in the boonies.

The maps in 'Coverage?' are provided in partnership with Ookla, and represent proprietary interpretations of the coverage reported by each carrier. You should not rely on the maps in Coverage to be perfectly precise or absolutely timely.
Ongoing map updates have been free - but to support the ongoing development costs, we now allow customers to subscribe to higher resolution maps that will be updated more frequently.
Coverage does not report or predict signal strength (there are great apps out there for that!). We can make no promises as to where you'll *actually* get signal.. there are too many variables - towers, device, terrain, weather, etc.
So… Got Coverage?

Coverage? Lite Reviews

Coverage info directly from provider.

If I wanted to see what coverage the provider claims to offer in my area I could go to their website and look at their map. There is zero value provided by this app.

Great and Informative App

Thanks for the information, especially for new 5G midband update. Nice to see how TMUS N41 ahead of VZ and especially T N77.

Confusing

Checked coverage, I thought, but map just showed a purple/pink color overall (not sure what that means)EVEN THOUGH MY CELL SERVICE IS REALLY WEAK Seems a waste of time and energy

Low resolution

This is only good to find out whether your county has coverage in general. It lacks the resolution to see your actual neighborhood.

Confusing interface

I tried to see the coverage at my dad’s house where I’ll be visiting, and it appears to show there is 5G in rural Texas. I don’t think so. So I tried it at my house, and it says I have strong 5G. I have one bar.

Data is Patently False

This app appears to base coverage purely on what the cell carriers say, who have an interest in giving you the impression of the widest possible coverage. I know for a fact that there is no Verizon or T-Mobile LTE coverage at my work. Only AT&T works. But according to this app it has coverage by all major carriers.

Very very basic

Not worth the 2.99. Just look up coverage map online for free. No detailed info or options.

Coverage Maps Accuracy

As a T-Mobile customer The coverage maps for Kansas & Oklahoma are wrong as of 05-07-2020. Actual coverage is far less than what the map shows.

Not clear in the product description is what the "trial period" is. On a "splash screen," the first time you use "Coverage? Lite," you are told it's THREE USES. For those three uses, you get the full "Coverage?" After that, the product description tells you that many (most?) of its features will "lock up." Bottom line: Based upon your needs, it may be worth your while to go straight to the $2.99 version of "Coverage?" and skip "Coverage? Lite." Good about this app is that the prices are clearly labeled: $2.99 for "Coverage?", and that's a one-time fee. They list $5.99 and $4.99 per year for the annual subscription. I suspect the $4.99 is the discount mentioned on the splash screen if you first pay $2.99 to "unlock" the app. Those with the annual subscription can expect to get updated maps more often (and in HD). So, what you need to decide is, just how are you going to use "Coverage?"? First, I would say that, as a one-time fee, the $2.99 is reasonable. The subscription fee is a more difficult thing to process. It would come down to just how you plan to use this app. For me, I use the app only when I'm thinking of shopping around for a new cell phone carrier. I might also check it when traveling, especially to places like Arizona, Nebraska, and Nevada, where some of the major carriers don't always have good coverage. It's a good "heads up." I imagine that if I lived in an RV and traveled all the time, especially to highly rural areas of the west, the subscription service would be a better idea. That's just my thought process. What is yours? Corrections: I deleted much of my 02-Sep-19 review since it was based upon my bad memory. In particular, I thought I got "Coverage?" for free. The author states that "Coverage?" has never been free. If that's the case, then "Coverage? Lite" may be a good way to look at the "paid for" app. I only upgraded from two to three stars, though, because I really don't like the concept of "crippleware," software that lets you use it a limited number of times before it "locks up" and isn't that useful anymore. And in this case, the stated "three uses" would seem to make the "Coverage? Lite" app shut down in a very short time; as I guessed above, maybe less than one day.

It really should include Canada and Mexico
