Cradlewise

This app is pretty good overall. I especially appreciate the ability to picture-in-picture the video stream so I can watch my baby while doing other things on my phone. It’s also very responsive. From the time I get a notification, I can tap it and see the live view within seconds. The big flaw though that is annoying me is the way the app uses the system audio. It basically hijacks and prioritizes the audio when the live view is open and distorts all other OS sounds unless the app is killed or goes to a sleep state itself. My sleep cycle app can’t play audio correctly at night until I kill the Cradlewise app, and this app constantly pulls my AirPods auto switching away from other devices I use, even when the audio monitoring is turned off. I want to be able to watch my baby on my phone while I use audio on my MacBook or iPad without it messing up the pairing. As it stands now, the app will just tell the system to switch to it over everything else, even if I’m currently listening to a video or music on another device. Makes it very annoying because I don’t have to always listen to my baby but having a video feed would be nice if this issue didn’t happen.

The app is constantly “spinning” and not connecting especially at times when I need it most, which is extremely frustrating. Otherwise the crib itself has been great.

This worked well so far but recently started having issue connecting to WiFi. It always shows poor connection and connection failed, reconnect and retry. The same thing working well on my husband phone while we are in the same room. It used work on my iPhone but not now. It’s very frustrating because I’m not getting the live video. Otherwise the cradle it self is great and it’s a savior for us as a new parent.

Of all the things this app is doing the MOST IMPORTANT is RELIABLE baby monitoring. The video/audio call disconnected several times in the same week. Even though our wifi system has complete coverage and stability. The grandparents had to call to let us know that the little one is crying his eyes out!!! This is traumatizing for the baby! For this price tag I expect rock a rock solid experience! The 15$ babyphone from the 80s I was monitored with is still more reliable that this cradlewise system! And to top it off there is no desktop app or recording option and i have to setup the system every single time the power is disconnected ! This is ridiculous! I want my money back!

I've connected to dozens of Bluetooth devices over the years and I have never encountered anything like the over-engineering of this crib. Why do we need to listen for a code instead of just connecting? Is the Baby Mafia going to take control and, what, bounce our babies when we aren't looking? Totally unnecessary and it means that we cannot connect. Like... what are you people doing over there?

So the idea around the bed is great. But the makers of the app need to still do a lot to improve things on their end. I paid nearly $2000 for this bed, and I am continually logged out of the app and cannot log back in. The bed often will not work so I’ll have to unplug it and plug it back in. It’s a constant frustration. That said, this bed has helped my child get some of the best sleep he’s ever gotten. But I’m constantly frustrated by the makers of the app. IMO, they need to hire software developers who are actually invested in this project and they would see a much better product.

My baby hasn’t slept for the past five days because he’s gotten accustomed to this. This is unacceptable. Take responsibility and rectify the situation immediately. Unreliable.

This new update keeps crashing on me when it’s in the popup window. It is incredibly frustrating. I have had to reinstall it many times to stop it from crashing but it keeps happening.

We’ve had the Cradelwise for almost six months now. The design of the crib is nice and it was great when we first got it, the app worked well for the first few months then something changed. It often won’t track sleep and when you try to reboot by forgetting and pairing the device again it is remains buggy/won’t connect. For the amount of money we spent you’d expect the app to work but we probably have issues with it 3-5 times per week. For instance, now that we changed from the bassinet to the crib the app wants us to re-calibrate and then fails every time we try. Customer service is slow and can’t deliver straightforward answers. Problems persist. I’d spend my money elsewhere.

When I open the app it takes really long time to pull up the camera. Sometime I need to close and open the app again. Performance needs to be improved.
