This rating is for how the app functions. Whenever I receive an email from Crain’s with a news alert, the top portion has a ‘link’ to open the app. The link doesn’t work. What ends up happening is that, as a paying customer, I have to sign in on the website to read the article instead of just opening the app to read the article. A small inconvenience but the point is that the link doesn't work. I ask that you fix it or remove it.
As a PAID subscriber for 2yrs, I enjoyed using the app to quickly get a pulse on current events. For Some reason the app as of today continuously crashes even after reinstalling. Keep me posted on what is going on. In C/O V
When reading an article, clicking hyperlinked articles open in the browser by default, the links should open within the app itself
First, you basically have to be a Crain's subscriber to use this app, since almost everything is paywalled. Want to become a subscriber? Sorry, you can't do that using this app - Crain's points you to their (very clunky) website to do that. I'm not sure of the point of even having an app when it does so little.
Am I doing something wrong? This cant be how this app works. There are so many links within the app that take you out the app to a browser. Then I hit the pay wall. And even if I login. The next time this happens it wants me to log in. Id like my subscription to be recognized when I'm taken out of the app. On the flip side- I may end up at an article in my browser by clicking the link from a newsletter e mail. Where I am asked to login to read this article. To circumvent, I click “open in app” and that doesn't even take me to that article w/in the app. It simply takes me to the app home page. Please advise me if user error. Please fix if its poor UX.
This is not an app. It’s a web hook that links to the web. I’m ok with that except that it constantly asks me to sign in to read articles. That shows no connection between an app and the web. An app would recognize that I have an account. The web link does not. I love the news articles. Fix the ‘app’ please.
The content is great, but at the top of the app news is a article that is 4 days old. Followed by 2 and 3 day old articles. Then about 7 articles down are the latest articles that are an hour old. Why do I have to scroll through the app to find the most recent articles? Seems like those should be at the top? Hard to tell if I’ve missed something or not
Can’t login to the app with my credentials. Any help?
Surprised it’s not marketed more. A lot smoother experience than the website. This app really helps justify the cost of subscription !
