Description

Cricket Captain 2022 is primed and ready, putting you in control. Can you manage your team to victory? A compelling year of cricket includes the 20 over World Cup and crucial internationals, overseen by a new England management structure. Cricket Captain includes a major re-structure of the player aggression system in both FC and one-day matches, providing greater realism, coaching options and analysis.
Limited over matches have been the main focus of development for Cricket Captain 2022, with new ball impact and swing movement balanced to reduce the wickets lost in white ball matches. Batsmen also settle more quickly, making collapses less prevalent. The aggression system mirrors a player’s real strike rate precisely, modelling boundary hitting and accumulation ability. With new separate aggression ratings for all players for First Class and Limited Over match types, white ball cricket has never been as dynamic.
Cricket Captain 2022 features all domestic system changes, and a database update, including new international home and away player stats.
Key features for 2022 include:
• New Batting Aggression System: fine grained ratings mirroring real player ability, modelling accumulators and boundary hitters.

Cricket Captain 2022 Reviews

Absolutely dreadful

The Tribez awesome on

United Kingdom

So so many problems with this game and I’ve uninstalled because it is absolutely pathetic. 1) Batsmen don’t keep up with the run rate even when you set them to bat at a certain speed. 2) Young players are OP and overshadow the actual experienced players which is just totally unrealistic in every single way. 3) Same game year after year with just updated players and transfers which is just utterly lazy. 4) Match engine can be laggy and insufficient with the camera zooming out randomly making for an annoying gameplay experience. 5) In T20, it’s almost impossible to win the tournament because opposition batsmen seem to just hit boundary after boundary whilst my team falls apart. 6) When batting on ultra defensive in the CC, all it does is make it easier to get out and batsmen still play shots into the sky which is just dumb. All in all players will just do their own thing no matter what settings you put anything on, so you’re not actually captaining the team, you’re sort of just there which is so so stupid! Thanks for your time but not your game!

Pathetic

WHU90 on

Scummiest game you will find. Whoever made this game is an absolute disgrace. 10+ drops a match for the player, zero for the opposition…every match guaranteed. Opposition scores 500+ and you follow up with 20/5…doesn’t matter what team you’re play with or against. And winning a toss does not exist in this scummy game

Paying is annoying

You shouldn’t have to pay to finish the season

Zero effort

AlephNull-0 on

United Kingdom

The devs have been consistently putting zero effort into this game since years. Career mode for an international team can end abruptly due to lack of players in the squad, Afghanistan would score 400+ runs while you’d be 5 down for 35 on the same pitch - just some of the gems from this game.

Good game but needs improvements

Love playing the series but would love to see more features, especially one like an auction for t20 leagues.

Where’s the review?

Seriously, hardly any upgrades. If you really wanted to be different where is the review system? Cricket has moved on

Hundred issues….

15jules🤔 on

United Kingdom

Generally fine and enjoyable - but if you are playing in England the Hundred ruins the game. I send 10-12 players there and they all come back on 0 or 1 star - ruins the last few Champo games and is completely unrealistic.

Little Change

Maggot81 on

Same game, very little difference to the last 10! Despite claims to the contrary, still consistent, unrealistic T20 batting collapses. Unrealistic AI field settings.

Good but you get out too quickly

1978764566 on

United Kingdom

This is a brilliant game, but sometimes you end up being at 27/5 when the opposition are at 212/2. Also, it’s impossible in test matches to get loads of runs with over 100 strike rate and yet the AI always get 200+ runs with over 100 strike rate. I would like to see reviews in the game

Best out there but still behind the times

dwayneromaine99 on

The triumph of this game is undoubtedly the test/ first class arena, and has been for some length of time. Games are realistic (aside from the still infuriating propensity for your side to collapse on occasion) and varied and victories feel hard won. Anyone attempting to play ‘Bazball’ is likely to come unstuck, but be patient, see off the best bowlers and you can cash in later as an attack tires. The field aggression settings have changed and now 4 notches appears to be a standard first class field. Bowling at leg stump also seems to bring results occasionally- in previous years this resulted in being pummelled everywhere. However, it was the shorter formats on which this game was promoted. In short, yes run rates and bowler economy are more realistic, with more runs scored and higher strike rates. The major flaw however is the propensity to collapse in a heap, when even trying to tick along at a sensible rate, remains. Seeing a middle order of Malan, Stokes, Buttler and Moeen wilt spectacularly and regularly against the mighty Dutch was particularly disheartening. Oddly, a lot of the time, your bowlers will then make a handy 20 or 30 to get you to a reasonable total. As an Essex fan however, I found it difficult to watch the batsmen fall away, only to see renowned rabbits Cook and Porter chip us to a reasonable total. The only solace to this (unlike some posters will have you believe) is the same happens to the computer. Somehow Lancashire failed to chase 275 after being 150-0 in 23 overs. India were rescued by a brilliant unbeaten 35 by Jasprit Bumrah as he put on 60 for the final wicket with Chahal. And ‘London Green’ fell from 103-2 to 107-7, before the Curran brothers beat my Leeds side. Collapses happen in cricket, but to have the same pattern play out in short format games does start to wear thin very quickly. Conditions also barely seem to matter in the shorter formats. A case in point was running through South Africa in a T20 game on a cloudy day with no wear on the pitch with Rashid and Moeen… The same complaints about the game being stuck in a time warp are still somewhat valid. The graphics still result in edges going to bizarre places and an absence of “modern shots” (i.e: shots now seen for at least 15 years like the reverse sweep). Jonathan Agnew still peddles the same cliched commentary that he has done for years now. There is no DRS, which has been in the game for over a decade. There is no opportunity to play the women’s game despite
