Crossword Flow: Daily Puzzles

I still enjoy this even though I have had to pay. I hope that there can be some bigger puzzles in the future and I’m happy to see the implementation of week day puzzles over the tuesday, thursday, saturday schedule. I wish it was a one time payment but it’s still something I like to play daily :)

This seems like one of the best iPad crossword apps out there, and I have seen it grow since the dev first shared it on Reddit.com/r/ipad. But I am the kind of person who dips in when I have some time to kill at the station to a crossword or two and that’s it. That is no longer possible without paying more than the price of my Microsoft Office subscription. It’s unfortunately not worth it to me so I will be uninstalling as I probably won’t be able to play on the exact days the crosswords come out, and I liked to let them build up and do a few in one go. Ignoring the price, again, this app is very nicely made.

This app was exactly what I was looking for… a perfect little crossword app compatible with the Apple Pencil. But now it’s all been locked behind a paywall… so I can’t go back to puzzles I’ve been struggling on or have missed. Real shame as I’ve been here since the beginning of the app and loved it.

The game itself is SO GOOD. The use of Apple Pencil with the very accurate letter recognition is spot on. However, the paid subscription is NOT worth it and such a bad move from developer. I will finish all the archived puzzles with the 7 day trial, but will move on after that….jeeeezz 🙄🙄🙄

I absolutely loved this app and I spent days doing all the archived puzzles and I’m so glad I did before it changed and now costs £7 a month to do any puzzle but the day of! I started a puzzle on Thursday and didn’t get round to completing it as my little boy took poorly, now it is locked and will only let me finish it if I pay £7. I absolutely do not like this feature and for that price, I would expect more puzzles. Disappointing, because otherwise the app and crosswords are perfect and fun to do with my apple pencil

Was enjoying this app until today when it seems you can only play one crossword and now it’s a paid for subscription to play the others. Not very impressed. Will be deleting if it’s not made free again

This used to be a great free app but now they want a subscription fee. I’ll be deleting as not worth the price for the size of the puzzles. Shame

New update has put all but the newest crossword behind a subscription, I can’t even view the previous ones I completed. I always thought that this app was too good to be free and I wouldn’t mind supporting the developers with a one time fee, but a recurring £7 monthly subscription is ridiculous, for that price you can get a whole crossword book. Giving 2 stars instead of 1 as the app itself is quite well designed.

Highly recommend using Apple Pencil!!! Great UI
