I hesitated when I saw a negative review. But then I remembered that I like all of this developer’s games. I was not disappointed. I actually played 20 games in a row the first time that I opened it. I found the hand crafted puzzles particularly satisfying.
This is the best game out. Love it
First, the good part. The music and background sounds are soothing. Now the bad part. This is the most boring game I have ever played. I have a feeling the programmer does not know how to use a random number generator to vary the sequence of the gems at each level. It one repeats a level, the exact same sequence of colors appears. This strongly suggests that there is one – and only one – sequence of colored gems that will work. For the lower levels, this works fine. But for the more difficult levels, the more astronomical become the number of combinations and therefore the odds of success by stumbling upon that one combination become vanishingly small. I also have a feeling the programmer has not studied the psychology of game theory. At all levels, you have to let the player win a significant amount of the time to keep their interest in the game strong. If you want a challenging game, try something else. If you want to numb your brain, go ahead and play.
Crystal Caverns was the first game I downloaded on my old iPhone 4. You’d think an old friend would give you a break, wouldn’t you? But it doesn’t. It’s just as challenging after all these years. No ads, no bugs, more puzzles. —Chicago Blue
and an enjoyable way to kill a few minutes
I play a lot of bubble games but this one is my favorite. I love that it has 3 modes. And it works real good.
Perfect for multiscreening in front of the TV with. I love the Celtic+rainy soundtrack. Thanks Sarah Pierce Games! I hope you come out with a physics-based game soon!
I've really enjoyed this game. I don't have any suggestions yet because I just started but I hope there are more than 50 puzzles :)
I like this game but would like to see the random levels be more random. The same boards come up in the same order. I would also like it fixed so when your playing the game I can still listen to my music. Once you pass a certain level the game stops other music apps from playing Thank you
