CT Legacy Version

Die App scheint die brauchbarste im App Store zu sein, um seine eigenen Weine unabhängig von Verkäufern oder Händlern zu katalogisieren und zu bewerten. Allerdings ist das Interface unglaublich altbacken und die App insgesamt wirklich extrem langsam. Hier wäre eine Aktualisierung wirklich angebracht, dann wäre das eine App, für die ich gerne auch (einen einmaligen Kaufpreis) bezahlen würde.

2022 Update: Nach 7 Jahren habe ich jetzt noch mal einen Anlauf gestartet und diesmal wurden die ersten 8 Flaschen an Hand des Etikettes sofort erkannt 😊 Ein Stern Abzug also nur, weil es auf meine ursprüngliche Kritik nie eine Reaktion gab 😉 Habe es mit 3 Flaschen versucht, die gerade herumstanden: Von 3 Barcodes wurde nur einer erkannt und selbst wenn ich die Codes manuell eingebe gibt es keine Treffer in der Datenbank. Wenn aktuell im Handel erhältliche Abfüllungen namhafter Österreichischer Winzer (Pannobile) und 20€ Chablis und Chassagne-Montrachet die es in Frankreich sogar im Supermarkt gibt nicht gelistet sind, scheint mir die Datenbank zumindest für Europäer sinnlos.

Die App Umsetzung von CellarTracker konzentriert sich auf die wesentlichsten Funktion und gefällt mir in dieser abgespeckten Form fast besser als die neue CT Website. Ein Must Have für alle Wine Nerds!

Die beste Weinkellerverwaltung weltweit. Auf Grund der weltweiten Verbreitung und der stets aktuellen Verkostungsnotizen der User hat man stets einen aktuellen Überblick über den Zustand und das Genusspotential seiner Weine. Mehr oder besser geht wohl nicht.

As soon as I saw the updated Legacy tag on the Icon I thought, “its only a matter of time before they stop supporting this app.” Please keep this app available. I agree with many of the other comments that the UI of the new app is just plain awful.

A much more intuitive version that does what you actually want. The new search features such while using this older version makes it easier to see what you actually have in stock instead of giving you options to choose that you don’t even own

The new version is downright painful to use. Luckily, the old version is still functional and saves the day. If they turn the old version off, my 500+ bottle cellar will go back to existing in Excel.

I’ve loved this app. I’ve voluntarily paid since the beginning of use in 2019. I’ll admit I paid what I considered a reasonable value for the service, $40 a year or equivalent of a decent bottle of wine for me. I don’t need reviews. I don’t need a “community”. I don’t need “drink now” assistance or photos. I just need the database function and that is solid in this app. I dread the day the old app is cut off and the upgrade to the new version is mandatory. I will not pay the excessive rates they expect. My cost would be 10x higher per year which far exceeds the value for a database function. I’ll drop it when that occurs. It’ll be a pity, but I can’t imagine the server space for my data costs that much to maintain.
