CUBE KIT Reviews

It works but instructions misleading

pct105 on

The instructions aren’t the greatest. You connect your phone to the guitar input (you will have to use a large headphone adapter). But the amp emulator works and makes this amp surprisingly versatile.

Outdated

This app is so outdated I can't even download it on my phone, very disappointing.

App doesn’t work

Bluesrulz on

I bought a Cube 10w amp recently. I thought it was neat that an app worked somehow with the amp. I downloaded the app and it told me that the developers need to update it. It’s ashamed because I like the amp.

Ignore other reviews - app works fine.

This is not a review of the Cube as an amp but just the Cube Kit app. I bought the amp from a prior owner so I did not have the plug to run my phone into the Input jack but once I bought a cord (Guitar Center had them), I was able to connect and change the preset sounds. The description of what each amp selection is supposed to sound like is on Roland’s website - not in the app which is keeps this from being higher rated. But once I figured out which sound I wanted, the app was simple to use and it definitely changed the tones I am getting from the amp. We have 3 different guitars in the house and some guitars seem to get more out of certain app models. The Orange stack is great for a distorted rock sound. If you buy the Cube 10, take the time to get the app and you will enjoy it. For the people that said it isn’t working, I wonder if they tried to plug into the input on the back of the amp and not the Input jack where the guitar cord goes. That is the only reason I can see why it would not work for them.

Useless

Super basic. Contains no helpful description of amps. Worked once but now does not work at all. So disappointed.

Abandoned App

The Reluctant Critic on

They must not have sold many of the type amps that work with this app, as they haven’t issued an update in over four years. For what I paid, I expected much better, such as other amp models. It does still work for me on IOS 12, so I’m glad the app at least still works after being neglected for so long. Still, I expected better from a company like Roland. I’ll never buy an amp from them again.

Completely unusable

This app is total garbage. It does not work.

Confused

I keep trying to change my amp settings, and I follow the directions. But it never works and I’m confused and frustrated. Please help.
