Description

The most advanced speedcubing utility app ever created, all packaged within an incredibly minimal and modern interface.
CubeTime is currently the only iOS app that uses the official WCA scrambler. No more illegal or invalid scrambles! This includes WCA-complient random state 4x4 scrambles and rotations for blind scrambles.
Not only do we have well-refined session support, we also have different session types, suiting all your solving needs. Special sessions include multiphase – where you can time phases during solves, and comp sim – where you can simulate competitions at home.
Aside from showing you basic statistics, we provide detailed (and of course - beautiful) graphs and visuals, to allow you to gain a better understanding of your solving performance.
We also provide you tools, all within one app – so don't need to clutter your phone with many single-featured apps! Tools include an average calculator, a batch scramble generator and more.

CubeTime Reviews

Great!!!

Love the app. Great for storing best solves for different events and sessions. I also enjoy using the comp sim feature, a mode where you do averages of 5 just like in real competitions! There are nice statistics too that show best times and averages as well as a graph showing the times in that session. Overall, this app is full of helpful features like adding in times if you prefer to use your own stack-mat timer. Great app that I would recommend to all cubers of all skill levels and ages.

Best timer on mobile

I love this timer, the 3.0 update looks amazing and everything flows so well. But when using an iPad and using dark mode you cannot swipe down on the button under current average to view the rest of your times and change sessions. My eyes hurt from light mode and would love to see this fixed.

A Step Back in Design

Æ_Ash on

I’ve been a dedicated user of this app for several years, and it has consistently provided a great experience. However, I feel compelled to share my thoughts on the recent icon change. While I appreciate the effort to update and refresh the app’s look, the new icon, unfortunately, doesn’t capture the essence of what made the original design so appealing. The previous icon was a perfect representation of minimalistic design. Its clean lines, balanced color palette, and subtlety stood out without being overwhelming. It was instantly recognizable, aesthetically pleasing, and aligned beautifully with the app’s intuitive and user-friendly interface. The simplicity and elegance of the old icon made it feel professional and modern, perfectly embodying the app’s purpose and identity. In contrast, the new icon seems to have lost that charm. While I understand the intention behind the change—perhaps to appear more vibrant and dynamic—the new design feels a bit too busy and less cohesive. It’s not as visually appealing and lacks the sophistication that was so evident before. The new color scheme feels somewhat jarring and doesn’t reflect the app’s functionality as effectively as the previous one did. I believe that design is not just about being different or eye-catching; it’s about creating a visual identity that resonates with users and complements the overall experience. The previous icon did this flawlessly, and it’s something that the new design, unfortunately, doesn’t quite achieve. I would like to respectfully request that the team consider reverting to the old icon or perhaps finding a middle ground that retains the minimalistic and polished look we’ve come to appreciate. A design that merges the best of both worlds—modern updates with the classic elegance of the original—would be ideal. Thank you for taking the time to consider this feedback. I’m confident that the app will continue to be a leader in its field, and I look forward to seeing future updates that reflect the thoughtful design choices this app has been known for.

Great app, just two things missing

The two things I wanna see are mean of 3 added as a statistic and the ability to type in times. It’s just really annoying having to manually calculate my means when doing blind.

Best timer app

Everything about it is so good. It’s organized really well and looks really nice. :)

Very good timer app!

This app does just about everything I want a cube timer app to do! There’s just one problem. When I want to type my time in, it only allows me to go to 2 decimal places, while my manual timer can go to 3. I would like the extra precision, if the devs can change that. Thanks for reading.

Looks good! Instructions hard to find. (Found)

Clean and simple. Love it! For instructions you gotta go to their GitHub page (linked in settings) then click on the CubeTime link to be taken to their main page which has a tutorial section.

Good app

It’s one of the best apps I use for cubing

Good but…

KeepMerging on

First of all, this app is great!! I love the UI and all of the graphs and solves are displayed neatly. I had a blast solving 3x3 with this app. However, I cannot figure out how to create a new session for my 3x3, so I can also do 2*2. When I switch the event to 2*2, the 2*2 solves go into my 3x3 session, and I cannot figure out how to create a new session or rename it to an event. The pictures seemed to be from older versions, so I cannot figure out how to do that. For now, I’ll stick to solving 3x3 on here but I would really like to be able to solve other cubes on here. Thanks! UPDATE: I found the sessions app feature, but it needs to be easier to access. I will give 5 stars once that is fixed
