Cutter FAQ
Is Cutter free?
Yes, Cutter is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Cutter legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
Such a nice UI. But it is a bit limited in that it only covers two mill profiles (end and ball) and only covers metal (5ish types, SS, Iron, Aluminum, a couple others). Unfortunately, I mostly cnc wood and acrylic, and a tiny bit of aluminum. I also often use different mill profiles. So great but not so great for woodworkers.
App developer quickly responded (2024) they plan to add wood profiles, which is hopeful.
Must Have for Machinists
This app is the greatest, best designed, user friendly, and helpful app for machinists.
The only app I’ve ever reviewed
Hands down the best feeds and speeds interface I’ve ever used. I do a lot of test cuts from a lot of different tooling companies so being able to browse through their catalogs with this app handy makes my workflow so much better! The interface is extremely easy to use and is a priceless tool in my day-to-day work. All of the other calculators ask you for meaningless information when calculating cutting data, this app simplifies it down and uses the base calculations that all of the tooling manufacturers and CAM systems use. It’s also a step above using a calculator manually to get this data. Would rate 10/5 stars if I could. A+++
Best interface for speed/feed calculator!
This app is the easiest to use for speed and feed calculations. The visual interface is excellent! When I’m trying to find the best parameters, being able to drag the tool up and down with constant recalculation is perfect. It lets me focus on my target without getting bogged down in data entry.
Great little calculator
This is a very simple and intuitive calculator, much simpler to use than most. However it needs more materials, various woods and plastics would be nice.
A very good cnc calculator
A very good CNC calculator but the chip load table lacking an entry for acrylic, a very common material for CNC shops doing signs and prototypes.
Good app
It’s a cool app but I wish it had a standard option not just metric
