Excited to get my new Fly 6 Pro given how crazy drivers are nowadays. Camera seems fine, records for hours on end, has two bright flashing red lights you can turn on for safety, and footage (downloaded to computer with cable, as this app does not seem to allow the promised wireless video file connection) seems sharp. The app is buggy: cannot activate button to update firmware, for one. Also, inconsistent and frustrating to connect iPhone to camera to access video files, which is one big feature of this new camera.

I would love to like this product and company as they seem to be the only option for a combo light/camera. sadly, the service and support is the worst I’ve ever encountered for cycling products and close to the bottom for every service experience I’ve ever had. Support materials describing how to do various normal functions are either baffling, missing, or flat wrong. That might be tolerable if I could get meaningful support through a company, communications channel, but the support people I’ve spoken to there have preferred to spend their time telling me why I’m wrong, and then offering to do nothing. The shoulder shrugging a difference I get is unbelievable, It doesn’t help that they’re located in Australia and have a 12 hour time difference with the US. I’m fine with dealing with credible that aren’t located here but in most cases companies make some arrangement to be more responsive. This is particularly weird as I would imagine the US is a top market for them. So as I started with, I would love to say these guys do a great job, and I’m delighted with her products and their support, but they’ve got a long journey ahead to get to that.

Cannot update firmware. It prompts you to register the device, and then hangs there. I’ve registered the device 3x today. Still cannot update the software. Poorly thought out.

Figuring out how to download video or update S/W is just miserable

Use your computer to control and view your recordings. Don’t try to use the phone app. It’s frustrating to use. Even deleting the app and reloading the app doesn’t help. The phone app is slow, the screen freezes and locks up requiring an app shut down to try again to use the app; which then after reopening again won’t work well. It doesn’t connect well to my Fly12. The app is not recommended. My star rating could have gone lower if that was permitted.

Cycliq products are great on paper. But the hardware is super UNreliable. My wife and I have owned two 12s and three 6s. Right now, just one works. Tech support is slow, but no tech support can make a lousy product run well or reliable. These folks deserve a class action lawsuit!

Buy literally any other product. App is completely useless, can’t even adjust the settings
