Cyrus Cadence for iPhone

Having spent thousands over 30 years on upgrading Cyrus kit and persevered with the truly awful Cadence app; it looks as though Cyrus have now abandoned Cyrus Stream X owners. I hung on all these years in the hope that eventually they would fix all the problems with their Cadence app but nothing has happened. £2k for a streamer that doesn’t have a properly functioning app to support it. Looks like they now want you to put the Stream X in the bin and buy their new BluOS streamer. No chance. So fed up with them I am getting rid of my entire system and replace it with something from a manufacturer who cares. Feel like I have been conned. They should be offering a very acceptable trade in for Stream X owners to switch to BluOS streamers but based on their apparent complete failure to fix Cadence I doubt it will ever happen. More than disappointed with Cyrus. Furious is more accurate.

Finally had enough of this rubbish. Pity because I liked the Cyrus Three. Replaced with Cambridge Audio. Their App a revelation and shows what Cyrus should aim for if they want to keep customers.

I’ve stuck with it and been tolerant, hoping it may get better but I’ve had my Cyrus components for 4 years now and the app has never worked well if at all. . Why did I spend so much on a Signature Stream X when I can’t control it or stream the music promised. The app is clunky when and if it works but most of the time it just crashes. I would genuinely give 0 stars if I could. There has been so much negative feedback on forums over the years I have owned Cyrus and I can’t believe the complacency of the company that this has not been fixed.

This app is shameful that it is even allowed in the App store is a mystery .it is a pitiful piece of garbage that never connects despite having a rock solid connection to the internet through the system. Like many others would never buy Cyrus equipment again due to this piece of junk along with Cyrus compete disdain for its users not even any form of feedback apology or road map to fix it on here..shocking disdain for customer service that am sure will bite them hard

Hi fi great this App belongs in the Stone Age & I cannot believe it is so awful. I doubt I have 25% success rate getting to work. Down loaded, deleted etc, I have invested so much in their HiFi I can’t change but would gladly do so. I am not an electronics geek but any response assume I am a soft ware designer & know what they are talking about. I don’t Be warned!

Just doesn’t work, you had an app that Worked and replaced it with this crap , somebody needs to get the boot.

In the past I gave this app the absolute stinker of a review it still deserves and I would not recommend buying Cyrus hardware even though it sounds exceptional. There are other vendors at a similar price point who sound as good and are not so ignorant of what their customers need. I’m writing this because i recently discovered that the cadence app at least works reliably provided the device it’s running on is on a super fast and reliable Wi-Fi network to which the Cyrus unit being controlled is hard wired. Suggest fixing the Ip address of the unit as well.

A truly truly awful app. It turns a high end sound system into an infuriating piece of junk. Terrible interface, constantly crashes and loses connection. Basically unusable. For several months the app kept turning the volume up to full whenever it lost connection (which happens around every 1-2 minutes). With a Lyric 09 system full volume is dangerously loud. I cilantro use my system for nearly a year because of that. Don't buy a Cyrus system - based purely on this app.

What a piece of junk, I just don’t get it. Why produce great hardware then provide software that is featureless and full of bugs! Cyrus, please build a competent software team and take your hardware to the next level

Absolutely hopeless app- something more akin to the 1980s but I’d feel bad insulting the 80s by saying that. Best avoided.
