Description

"Cytus II" is a music rhythm game created by Rayark Games. It's our fourth rhythm game title, following the footsteps of three global successes, "Cytus", "DEEMO" and "VOEZ". This sequel to "Cytus" brings back the original staff and is a product of hardwork and devotion.
In the future, humans have redefined internet development and connections. We can now easily sync the real world with the internet world, changing life as we have known for thousands of years.
In the mega virtual internet space cyTus, there exists a mysterious DJ legend Æsir. His music has an irresistible charm; people fall madly in love with his music. Rumor has it that every note and beat of his music hits the audiences in
the depths of their souls.
One day, Æsir, who had never shown his face before, suddenly announced that he will be holding the first mega virtual concert —— Æsir-FEST and will invite a top idol singer and a popular DJ as opening performances. The instant the ticket sales began, an unprecedented rush occurred. Everyone wanted to see Æsir's real face.
On the day of the FEST, millions of people were connected to the event. At one hour before the event started, the previous world record for most simultaneous connection was smashed. The whole city was on its feet, waiting for Æsir to descent from the skies...
Game Features:
- The unique "Active Judgement Line" rhythm game playstyle
Tap the notes as the judgement line hits them to achieve a high score. Through five different kinds of notes and the judgement line that actively adjusts its speed according to the beat, the gameplay experience is further combined with the music. Players can easily immerse themselves in the songs.
- A total of 250+ high-quality songs (50+ in base game, 200+ as IAP)
The game includes songs by composers from all across the world, Japan, Korea, the US, Europe, Taiwan and more. Through the characters, players get to play songs from different genres including but not limited to: electronic, rock and classical. We are confident that this game will live up to the hype and expectations.
- Over 800 different charts
Over 800 different charts designed, from easy to hard. The rich game content can satisfy players of different levels. Experience exciting challenges and enjoyment through the sensation of your fingertips.
- Explore the virtual internet world with the game's characters
The one-of-a-kind story system "iM" will lead the players and the in-game characters to slowly piece together the story and world behind "Cytus II". Reveal the truth of the story with a rich, cinematic visual experience.

replacing your artists with AI is unethical, man

with the news that rayark just fired their artists to maximise profit with AI that are built of stolen work, im out. ive been playing this game since 2017/2018 — there were just five characters back then, and yet the music and art was so enchanting even from the start. this game means a lot to me -- it got me through rough times in my studies, and some of my fondest memories in high school were playing cytus ii with friends before orchestra. i know im just one player, but if the devs ever see this: i hope you know that my sentiment is shared by many. we as fans of rayark content were drawn into your games by the stories you created — and part of that includes art created by your flesh-and-blood artists. so to the ex-artists of rayark: if you see this, know that your work was well and truly loved. know that us players are in your corner.

You know how league fans and gacha fans complain the most about their games but like playing it anyway? That’s me right now. I don’t know why people say the story is good. It’s okay? Interesting execution but the way story is fed bit-by-bit is really annoying. Also, level 40 and the main character(Im assuming PAFF was supposed to be the main character here, doesn’t seem like the promo materials even remember lol) is being shafted by the story. Fits the corporate account thing she had going on, she ends up feeling a little soulless for a main character. The robot character has more personality at this point. I know that there’s more story after this but considering that the first credits rolled 20 levels ago I’m counting this as an appropriate point to comment on the story. The songs are okay. I really liked the maps for some of them, and the ones I don’t like I can see why it was placed like that. Seems to make sense to me. There are a few more types of notes as compared to 1, and that added a lot of needed variety to the hardness maps instead of five different button mash levels. For some reason I didn’t like the gimmick of the genres being split into characters, because it meant that if I didn’t find the genre fun it meant that I was forced to grind it for the story, which goes really badly with the levelling system. Hardness levels being level locked makes this even worse. At some point I just ignored when a character stops levelling up and started playing the spoiler character because it just feels like I was being trapped by the story portion. Also there are three finger maps. Bane of my existence as a thumb user. Nearly quit because of that lol. It’s a nice game though. I specifically just hate a lot of it.

Bought this years ago but the recent update really developed the storyline in so many folds. I’ve been hooked on this game again the past few weeks just trying to reach the ending of the story. On the one hand, it’s a typical arcade tapping game (love it!). But on the other hand, it’s great to know how clearing through the songs also advances the storyline. Everything has to be pieced together and the ending was so rewarding! Graphics are amazingly beautiful too!

Really fun game

Although the game is really fun, I feel that there are too little free songs right now so even though I enjoy the game, I really wish we can have more songs especially for those people who can’t spend money on games so please consider adding more songs and keep up the great work! Love you ray ark games
