STORY
In the distant future, the only sentient beings in the world are robots.
They are the last remnant of the human spirit.
However, mankind is not dead.
Technology exists that is capable of transferring memories to these robots.
But with limited space, new memories will gradually overwrite the old.
To prevent the emotions in human memories from fading away, the robots resorted to converting the emotions to music, and storing them in a place called Cytus.
The robots use these songs to experience human emotion and dream that souls exists in each of them...

i started playing this in 2012. although i go through periods of playing it religiously and not touching it for months or even years, this is still one of my fav games to date and i know ill probably always go back to it. its not too easy or too hard, just enjoyable
Great game
I love this game, downloaded it again recently. It’s so well done, great tunes and graphics, just an overall awesome experience playing it
Rhythm Game Masterpiece
Ive had this for over 7 years, and ye back then i paid $2 for it, but man, UNTIL TODAY, in 2022, i still love this game so much! I dont get tired of it! Music is still great they always hit the mark everytime i play the music and tap on the beat. And each chapter tells a story. Its just downright an amazing game that i never saw one like it again. I also have Cytus II, but i still prefer this Cytus over the other one…it has a sense of nostalgia. I hope they continue to update it and add more music and chapters because it is a masterpiece.

Data not transferring
my data won’t transfer to my other phone!!
Good, but flawed
I've been playing Cytus for six years. It's one of the best games on iOS, but it has some flaws that have been ignored for years. Many songs released in v10.0, such as Myosotis and those in Chapter N, have sloppy and off-sync beatmaps. These songs are unlocked through in-app purchases, making this level of quality unacceptable. The game could also use many quality of life changes, such as a counter that tracks your TP and a more accurate difficulty scale. An update that, at the least, polishes the v10.0 songs is long overdue, and I feel that these changes would bring renewed attention to this game and Cytus Alpha, the Nintendo Switch port.
