I wish this app included the daily blessings from the morning service and expanded variations. Big omission!
What a wonderful app! Our Rabbi recommended this app and it has filled our nature walks with joy. Great accent/pronunciation by the reader too!
I like the clearly printed Hebrew however when I try to listen to the prayer I’m not getting any sound. My device is not muted. When however I mute the prayer on the app-it shows on the progress line that it is playing. When I change it to sound-the progress line does not move. It is as if it’s opponent to how it should be. Regardless, there is no sound. To learn the correct pronunciation to the printed Hebrew, I need to hear it. Disappointed.
I've had this app a couple of years and love it, but when I refer back to check something, 9 times out of 10, the sound doesn't work. Please help. Edit: Audio works now! Thank you!
No sound and missing important prayers. This app isn't what your looking for if you want to learn Hebrew prayers. P.S. I know how my phone works. Thanks
For those folks having trouble with sound, make sure your device isn't muted. (This is different from the volume buttons.)
I was quite excited because all the other apps I've seen are Hebrew only with a vapor ware promise of forth coming English (while I can certainly read the Hebrew, I think reciting blessings without knowing what they mean is sort of a vain prayer). This app includes the Hebrew, transliteration and English translation. The app also includes audio that I presume chants each blessing. I say presume because you can press play and the progress bar moves along as if it's playing but there is no sound at all (not even an electronic him). Pleas fix ASAP.
This is a really convenient app that has easy access to many of the Jewish daily blessings or Berachot. They are arranged via subject and the text is available in English, Hebrew or transliterated Hebrew. It is absolutely perfect for learning the blessings and it's a wonderful companion to the CCAR Siddur iPad app.
I find myself perplexed: a blessings app from CCAR that does not include shabbat blessings? While the included blessings are interesting — and occasionally useful — why would you not meet people where they are? Particularly when we've paid money for the app, this feels like a nontrivial oversight. And it seems, well... weird that we would need to turn to Chabad and their ilk for support in fundamental rituals. That would seem to be a strategic problem for the CCAR.
