Daily Mail Newspaper Reviews

Waste of time

TJC200 on

United Kingdom

I’m sure it’s great if you want to read the paper online. But if you have a print subscription then (despite both the website & welcome emails encouraging you to download the app) you can’t actually use it to manage your account.

Needs to get up to date

Big Tram on

United Kingdom

Clunky old-fashioned interface but worst of all is the fact that there is no search facility. It is impossible to find stories. That is shockingly bad in this day and age. Come on, Mail+, raise your game!

Problems

pickleborough on

United Kingdom

Always problems with the online competitions and cross word pages. Unable to enter competitions half the time. Crosswords missing from your personal preferences meaning you have to re-enter your favourites. Very frustrating if you like them in a certain order. Near the top of the crossword page is the date which once you start to play it becomes obscured by being over written by other words. you are unable to read either word. Apart from that I still enjoy both the Mail and the Mail on Sunday. It is just unfortunate that I cannot get out to buy a proper copy of these publications. I still recommend the newspaper as they have lots of contributors that make it an enjoyable read. Just go out and buy a proper copy.

Stopped working

Dolly daydream14 on

United Kingdom

Had the app for about four years, suddenly it stopped working and I’ve tried everything. Contact for help is useless, money has been paid for the subscription fee but all I get are emails saying check I’ve got a subscription!!😡Finally admitted defeat and now trying another newspaper app.

Mail app on iPad

(*)? on

United Kingdom

This app only requires me to subscribe additional things I don’t wish to see. Cannot access the newspaper without subscribing for an additional fee of £12.99

New mail layout

Pinchers Pal on

United Kingdom

What on earth have you done with the online version of the Daily Mail. How on earth am I supposed to differentiate tiny squares of motor cycles from other blurred squares of God know what? I am an 84 year old using a small iPad. I want my newspaper back in the format that I am used to. Not an early morning quiz on the effectiveness of my eyesight. Sorry, but this update is going to cost you many frustrated readers.

Review of Mail + editions

dagwoodsmith on

United Kingdom

For me it was great I had a new IPad at Xmas and it was all ok during January but now it will not download and I am stuck with Sunday front page and when I try to down load it sticks there solid.

Cannot read any of the papers

alastair in a banastair on

United Kingdom

In the last week or so my online papers have stopped downloading and am unable to read any or the papers on line so am stopping my subscription. I go an email to say my sub had been changed in error and since then nothing has worked. I don’t even want the magazines

Font size is appalling

Bmm212121 on

United Kingdom

For anyone partially sighted, the font size does not work on the articles. You will constantly have to pinch zoom, as even the iPad built in features do not work. No issue with sky, bbc etc. A poorly designed app with no thought to the elderly or partially sighted.
