I downloaded this app solely to read Berserk, I bought the 7 deluxe editions in print but number 2 & number 4 were lost in the post & number 3 still hasn’t arrived. I re-bought no 4 but 2 is now unavailable & sold out everywhere, so is number 3. So I had to buy vol 4-9 through the app, so this app is a complete life saver as I’ve become totally obsessed with this series, it’s the greatest story I’ve ever read. And I already know I’ll be buying more volumes through the app, as we only get a new deluxe edition every 4 months, so it’ll be another few years before the deluxe editions complete the series. And I’ll need to read it long before then. I also found another series that looks good on it called “Empowered”, really nice pencil work in that series, love the art style. I seen a bad review from another guy, more than likely he didn’t create an account, make sure to create an account with all these types of apps, so you can always have access to the stuff you buy.

Terrible app and customer service

I had been using this app with no issues for a long time, until one day a number of purchases disappeared from my library, after contacting customer care and following the instructions I was given, all of my purchases disappeared. This began an endless back and forth between myself and them via email. No matter what I did, firstly didn’t restore my purchases, and secondly only led to more requests from customer care. Send screen shots of this and that, other than that there was zero correspondence from them. I had around 15 books, and spent a couple of hundred euro on them. They are aware that the issue lies with them but are unwilling to do anything about it. No matter what I did just led to more requests for useless actions which will not fix the issue. I will never purchase another thing from them. Besides a lot of the books I bought are cheaper on the Apple book store. Buyer be very aware.

(iPad 2, iOS7) The latest update, while it brings some improvements, is a step in the wrong direction. Firstly, it deletes your comics on your device, meaning you have to re-download from the "cloud". That's fine until you discover it when you don't have an internet connection (out and about for instance). Secondly, it still crashes A LOT, so nothing new there. I kind of wish the developers stuck to the old design and just made it work better rather than constantly redesigning it.

Great selection of comics, really nice panel to panel reading and really nice resolution on the scans. It loses out on a perfect 5 because it freezes and closes down the app when purchasing a comic (only sometimes, though).

Very disappointing

I love Dark Horse but this is a horrible app. Constantly freezes & force closes. The store has a pretty good selection (hence the 2 stars) but the app is just terribly unreliable. Almost unusable.

For when you tire of The Big 2 in comics....

... dark Horse is one of your best options. It's a pretty good app, but it does have the occasional bug and freeze. The resolution can be a bit low when you zoom in on some comics as well. But man, what great comics they are!
