Datadog Reviews

Crashes after update /won’t launch

MinecraftAdmin on

App doesn’t open after the latest update. I tried deleting the local data too. Might want to actually QA your stuff, and not just “happy path” testing…

Buggy, impossible to triage an incident on mobile app

midget7201 on

United States

Mobile is clearly an afterthought at Datadog. Extremely frustrating that basic functionality doesn’t work. You cannot search logs with any filters unless they were saved from desktop. Dashboards are buggy and fully reload the whole app every 30 seconds. The list goes on. For how expensive Datadog is, this is truly unacceptable. Please invest in making this app actually work. It’s important to be able to triage on mobile and its current form is completely unusable.

Pointless out of the box

Learn how to code on

DD is basically just an overpriced ripoff of a collection of already established open source tools and this app is just a worthless wrapper around that. The app itself doesn't do much other than display. I mean you really can't do much out of the box. Can't see dashboards unless you own them, searching is so restrictive that you're just wasting your time even looking at it. Basically it requires massive setup and spending days getting everything setup for yourself on the desktop version first. Then just ask yourself, why am I just not using the mobile site via a browser? So then what exactly is this app for? I mean at least they can claim they have an app, but I find it pretty much worthless unless you sunken so much time to setup everything up for yourself using the desktop client that you might as well just save yourself the hassle and just do that meaning this thing is pointless. I guess the have to spend all that money they make ripping off and reselling open source tooling somehow. Give more back to those you are ripping off.

Saves me taking out my laptop

It’s so nice to be able to see my monitors and dashboards from my phone, so I can triage without opening my laptop. Saves me a bunch of time and I can triage faster this way.

Widgets don’t work

adamka on

Just get an empty gray box with an error when trying to add a dashboard chart to my Home Screen

Tons of fun!

Jess924 on

United States

I have monitors integrated with my NoSQL database and Datadog adds extra hidden data points for my online API’s. I can monitor my dashboards in one location and I never have timeouts on my servers.

Dashboards and monitors are broken

Rob.Todd on

United States

If you try to open a monitor it says an error occurred and the only way to proceed is to open in safari. If you have a dashboard that is longer than about 24 charts, then no data displays on those later charts.

Needs resources

April Monder on

United States

The Datadog mobile website is completely unusable. So any missing feature (resources especially…) are sorely missed. You’re only able to view a list of the resources and sort them. Can’t dive into them.

missing features from prev versions

Hjiioplj on

Can’t manually trigger synthetic monitors. Difficult to navigate app. 🤦🏼‍♂️

So, no logs and can’t switch orgs?

BlueMoblin on

I have a multi-org setup, I can’t switch to my order from the primary org?
