Datto Workplace

We have been using Datto and the app for years and we’re very happy with its functionality. Earlier in the year they tried to change the scribble function but had to revert back to the old system as the new scribble function did not work at all. For those who don’t know what the scribble function is, it allows you annotate directly onto pdfs. This feature is very important for field engineers and Architects when working on site or marking up drawings. Now again in the last few weeks they have attempted to update the scribble function again! With the same result the new scribble function does not work at all. It keeps crashing, random lines appear and is basically unusable! If someone knows the app developer can they alert them to this. We have tried to get this resolved through our IT provider but to no avail. If this is not rectified shortly we will have to find an alternative cloud provider that has a working scribble function.

It was working perfectly well on the older versions, but the new update has completely changed it and it now crashes constantly, has less functions and is unusable. Please change it back!

Generally I’m very happy with the app, however one thing I think could be improved is having to exit a document and then select the next document in a file. Surely it would be possible to just swipe to the side or tap an arrow to view the next document.

This app has been the same since the day I starting using it over 4 years ago. I don’t have a choice as it is required by my employer. It is very slow and many many times larger files just stall and don’t sync, download or open. I’m sure my employer pays a lot of money for 100+ employees to use it. Just a horrible experience on mobile devices.

App is awful. Logs out, password validation is a dead end and you can’t delete the app from your phone or try to reinstall to fix log in issues

Cannot view pdf documents at all. Makes the app useless for me.

Apps not bad. It gets the job done. However, it won’t open pdf’s anymore. No idea why.

There’s a lot of slamming going on here and I feel like we need a little balance. The app works smoothly and connects well as of this 4.0 release. The aesthetic has also been refined and is nicer to use as a result.

Datto has taken this product from bad to worse! The app is buggy, clunky and the UI is God awful. Ever since the original CEO/Founded of Datto stepped down the whole company has gone in the toilet. Don’t waste your time with this worthless app.

Useless on ipad
