Dazz Cam - Old Film & VHS Cam

As far as I can tell, none of the photo or video filters are free to use. I haven’t checked all of them, but I’ve checked several dozen. They all look super nice. UI is nice and clean. Above all else, I love that it collects no data. The purchase options are $3/week, $5/month, $20/year and $50/lifetime. I’m tempted to pay $3 just to see if I have the problems mentioned in other reviews.

I just downloaded this and was super excited to test out the filters on some of my older videos but it crashes as soon as I try to access my videos. Kinda bummed out and not quite sure how to fix this :(

Just wish there was a one time payment option. Most apps on iOS want you to pay for a subscription. I’m good on that. I will stick to 1998 Cam. If the payment options ever change, I shall return.

This app is clean and responsive with no bloated UI. However having to go through a list and pick filters without being able to preview them is extremely frustrating. This app would be 100x better if you could just swipe right or left to preview the many filters in the live camera view (like on iPhone 13 and newer) and also be able to favourite the ones you like best. Will purchase the day this is implemented.

I paid for this app nearly 2 years ago and it keeps crashing and now I am being asked to pay again. Why?

Every single time I open the app it crashes it will tell me to give it access to mic and camera then will immediately crash. I’ve restarted my phone twice and deleted the app nothing works.

(note: last app update was 7 months ago) I really wanted it to work, but it keeps crashing either just when I open the app or when I’m looking for a video in my library to upload. I thought maybe I needed to update the app but it’s up to date. My iPhone 12 Pro Max can’t be THAT old already. Hope this isn’t a scam and this bug is fixed ASAP.

What is the point of allowing a “free” download of this app only to charge $$ to use ANY of the filters?? Literally a scam. You can use the filters to see what they look like but when you hit record/take a photo, it says you have to pay. None of the filters are free. Stupid app.

I was super excited to use this app, I paid $20 for the year subscription and the app doesn’t even work. I can’t record anything using the video option of the app. I can take photos but I only got the app to use the video option. Lame!
