This is my favorite overdrive for a long time. It works on just about everything and has a very subtle, but versatile sound.
Description
DC-9 Overdrive is a circuit modeled overdrive plug-in that emulates the famous Ibanez® TS9 Tube Screamer. The DSP algorithms in DC-9 take into account the entire schematic, using the latest modeling techniques. This gives you an authentic analog sound that matches the character of the physical circuit.
DC-9 is an Audio Unit Extension (AUv3) that works inside host apps. Just open up your favorite host that supports Audio Units and add it as an effect. The controls expand when touched so they can be easily seen while tweaking. DC-9 brings the distinctive warm overdrive crunch to your favorite iOS DAW. Compatible with GarageBand, Cubasis, Auria, BeatMaker, AudioBus, AUM, Modstep, and more.
DC-9 gets its name from the Diode Clipper circuit used to create the distortion. Accurate modeling of the clipper by circuit simulation gives DC-9 an edge over the common distortion plug- in. The effect was carefully tuned using A/B comparisons to the original stop box. Blamsoft brings their experience creating top notch plug-ins for the desktop to iOS. The same algorithm is found in the popular Rack Extension for Propellerhead Reason. You get a desktop quality algorithm at an iOS friendly price.

This extension was a complete upgrade to my music, but it kept dropping out of the various tracks as if I were muting it... so much that I had to uninstall it. Iphone 7 was my device, but overall it was a real quality addition, when it ran.

Hi, I have been playing all my life guitar and I’m always trying new stuff with analog and digital pedals, and this overdrive is just amazing if you know how to use it, it gives you a really warm tone and how I’m using it you really can’t tell if is an real amp or an iPad. I bought one one overdrive from 4pockets and I just lost my money there 4.99. I listen the other drive that you have in your website but i feel they are not too good like the dc overdrive, can you make one really good drive for iOS? Way to taxing on the CPU!!!
This is an excellent idea, but in reality it is horribly insufficient regarding the CPU. Unless you are running 1-2 instances, ONLY, you will probably be disappointed with the bad performance. Please fix Blamsoft! Your other apps are not nearly as bad.
