DCS LFP Reviews

Connectivity

Clouddancergreywolf on

Battery has been back twice to upgrade and fix connection from the App to the battery and is still not connecting to the battery , either they fix the software on the battery or the App , it’d be nice to know how much power is in the battery

Confused

Baxy Taxi on

The app on my phone reads a 4.4amp draw on the battery, yet the app on my wife’s phone reads 8.8 amps, how can they be different ?

Bad app

Does not work well, very inaccurate and batteries failed early as well

Not accurate or useful

I run a Redarc RedVision system with the DCS 200ah Slimline battery, the Redarc is actually accurate, it correctly identifies small current draw unlike this app/bms. How do I know this, simple a full 100% lithium battery will not accept 32 amps of power input for over an hour. I don’t bother with this app for this reason, it’s basically useless. Don’t sue me because it’s true.

Simple, but it works

Does the critical stuff well. It provides a simple but reliable connection to your batteries and tells you the most important info quickly. I would really like to see a landscape mode, and CarPlay integration. We’re using these batteries off the grid and often on long journeys… so it’d be great to have this on my dashboard.

So far can’t fault it

Just downloaded the app. It found my battery instantly and connected to it instantly as well. Looks like issued from previous comments have been resolved.

Such a Primitive app

hype up....not good on

Australia

Disappointingly a very basic low quality dysfunctional app.. huge promotion out there DSC so hyped up big noting themselves about the app at battery point of sale but upon inspection it’s so primitive and substandard in function, slow start with slow or no refresh, have to always exit and reopen to read correctly. Shows reading when not actually reading. One page screen only. Won’t work on ipad. I hope the DSC battery quality isn’t the same with false hype… I suggest victron, enerdrive or iTechWorld’s higher quality standards which I have always stuck with before and never let me down.. sucked in by the hype to change which was a big mistake.

Works

All good here

Could be a lot better

This app isn’t bad but could be a lot better, it is very slow to discover and then to connect with the battery. But more importantly it needs to support landscape mode and as most people I know use this in a car it also needs an iPad version.
