Available exclusively for Netflix members.
Escape a limitless castle with an undead twist in this roguevania action platformer. Find secrets, take down bosses, and if you die? Start from the bottom and reignite the fight.
You’re what’s left after a botched experiment in an abandoned castle made you a pile of undead sludge. All you need to escape is someone else’s less-than-alive body and the sheer will to battle your way through a constantly changing, pixel art castle full of rogue enemies and terrifying bosses. Learn the ropes of action-packed 2D combat and platform exploration, master a variety of weapons and develop your strengths as you unravel the secrets of the dungeon, the castle and whatever lies beyond.
Also: don’t worry about dying. That’s what the giant pile of corpses in the dungeon is for. Fight, learn, die, start over and keep getting better.
The Netflix edition includes all of the free and paid downloadable content created for the original game, so members can experience the full scope of their escape from the first awakening. Battle through the secret Arboretum in "The Bad Seed" expansion, hone your combat skills in "Rise of the Giant," rise from the dungeon to the shore with "Fatal Falls," fight the castle’s baddest boss in "The Queen and the Sea" and enlist the help of iconic Castlevania characters Alucard and Richter Belmont to take on Dracula in the ultra-retro "Return to Castlevania" DLC.
Features:
• Fight unique enemies in each castle biome and learn how to evade their special abilities.
• Loot and level up new weapons, advantages, genetic enhancements and more to customize your hero on every new escape attempt.
• Awaken into a new challenge every time you resurrect; with the castle’s magically shifting layout, no two runs will ever be the same.
• Explore secret areas within and around the castle to unlock big rewards (or even bigger bosses).
- From Motion Twin, Evil Empire and Playdigious.

Wonderful game, I started with the Xbox and pc editions and was ecstatic when I saw that it was available on its my go to game, cannot get over the combat style. It’s a well rounded game. One nice thing is that it has the dlc bc without it feels like a part of the game is missing.
Bank lag
Its impossible to complete the bank parkour level because of the lag that kicks in during that level
Amazing
It’s just amazing other than the sound bugs and a little lag it’s a pretty spectacular game I feel like there’s almost no words to describe how good this game is so keep up the good work 👍
Audio bugs but that’s all
For some reason when you teleport, open a door, open a chest, or seemingly out of nowhere you might get an audio bug. It goes away when you fully close the game and go back in but I’d be nice if this would be fixed.
Good game, but have crashes
The game is good, funny, good gameplay, but after a few minutes playing (like 10 minutes) the game start to get stuck until become unplayable, sometimes the music just stop playing too.
JUST PUT CLOUD SAVES
I lost 90 hours of gameplay yesterday when I deleted the app thinking it had cloud saves other wise 5/5
Unplayable
As the title says, this game is unplayable on my device (IPhone 15 Pro). I check on Reddit to see if the problem was on my end and multiple people are saying that it only happens to them when they play the Netflix edition and not the one that you can download after buying a subscription to Apple Arcade. Although my favorite things about this game is the combat, the weapons, and how you have the ability to Parry. Coming back to what I said earlier, I tried disabling high resolution mode, kept the FPS to 30 or 60 (I thought the issue would be having the FPS to uncapped but that wasn’t it). If somehow they end up fixing this, I will change my review.
6/5 stars for Dead Cells, Netflix not so much
The game? Amazing. Just perfect. The app itself has some issues, but they’re worth it to not pay for the full game/DLCs. Did have my progress deleted once, but loved the game so much I just started over. Would have preferred that not happen though
Great game lag to much tho
Game lags to much when you got to the next stage but game play is Phenomenal
Mid tier game
Fun to play the first set of levels but when the main difference between boss cores is just stronger npcs its gets repetitive and boring
