Dead City - a thrilling textadventure game. Will you meet this challenge?
DEAD CITY is an incredibly thrilling interactive chat story which cannot be told without your help. For Sam, you are the only contact outside of the evacuated area.
Live up to the trust placed in you and guide Sam through the post-apocalyptic chat text adventure game in real-time.
Make your choices carefully, as they will have severe consequences on the story of the game.
DEAD CITY's interface is based on a chat messenger app (similar to Lifeline) representing your connection to Sam.
It is neither necessary to answer all messages immediately nor to have the game open permanently.
You will be notified about new events even if the App is closed and you can decide yourself how things should be run.
Sam needs the help of a good friend. Without you Sam will not survive the next days!

DEAD CITY FAQ
Is DEAD CITY free?
DEAD CITY is not free (it costs 1.99), however it doesn't contain in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is DEAD CITY legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
Bought it after my flatmate recommended it to me saying it’s one of the few mobile games worth my time. I of course gave it a chance and don’t regret it. Didn’t experience any bugs or game breaking problems at all.
Overall, I consider it worth the money and looking forward to something new made by these guys. Well done!
Surprisingly enjoyable
To be honest I really quite enjoyed it, didn't find it boring as others have said. Probably helped that I'm a big fan of walking dead and other zombie related stuff. But yeah, good job
Not bad at all
I am a massive fan of the lifeline games and old school fighting fantasy novels, so when I saw this I got excited.
To be honest at first I wasn't too keen as it didn't seem to build on the character and went straight into the game, just text every now and then. I Felt a little bit unattached.
After actually giving it a chance, I'm now up to the third day and the story is slowly unraveling, it's more based as if a real person was messaging their situation and every decision does matter, but doesn't stop you in your tracks if you make a mistake, you have to live with it.
It's a nice touch seeing how other players did at the end of the day.
My main fault is sometimes it seems to be a bit hard to decide what wording will help you or the character, but that's texting for you.
Altogether good game for fans of novel and time based games. I hope to see more in future, well done to the writer.
Hmmmmm
The concept is good, similar to lifeline (although lifeline is a vastly superior game). I don't mind the waiting, the story is decent. Where it lets itself down is the poor use of grammar. Edit: tosh zz has some great points, originally I gave it 3*, but thinking about it there are so many plot holes it's lost a *. Still gets 2* for effort and I guess English isn't the developers first language.
Really bad
Im sorry but the game needs a lot of work your stuck with predetermined replies for e.g. Do I like coffee or tea actually I hate both can I say that nope I have to pick either tea or coffee the fact they go away for way to long makes the game boring why play this game and wait when I can play another game without stopping
Terrible
Refund please.
I seen that's it's available in German, was it translated from German to English by a computer? That's the only conclusion I can come up with as to why it's rubbish. Just doesn't grab you at all, it's like Sam is a bot and your controlling him because he's brain dead or a complete idiot, really bad avoid seriously.
Also he said he found the phone, you were on the favourites, surely there caller ID is coming up?? Yet the name on the top of the screen is Sam, wait I didn't add a new contact, just so so so poor, not sharp not well rounded not nothing, an absurd load of crap really, I could come up with a better dialog than that and I'm not creatively minded at all 😂😂
Hate waiting
Not pleased that I have to wait for a game that I paid for. Was a good concept, but executed poorly. Only had it for less than a day and I'm just waiting for Sam to come back all the time. It also should have more than two dialog options.
The most boring game in the history of the App Store
You can see they've tried to come up with something original, it just doesn't work. It's slow, tedious, boring... don't waste your money. Even if it was a freebie it would be terrible! I'd love a refund on this awful thing.
"Sam is away" - game play stops till Sam comes back. When you've played a game for less than 5 minutes and the game literally stops because the developers thought it was cute to make you have to wait AGES for any more dialogue with NOTHING else you can do. How does this stuff even get onto the App Store??
