Rubbish app

Don't buy, constantly reading 60db even when silent

Looks good, over-reads

Runs nicely, good graphics, but dB readings severely exaggerated. No idea how calibration was arrived at.

Inaccurate and badly so

I have an SPL meter already and I can't get close to what this reads. Perhaps the programmer is using an external mic? The internal on on my iPad 2 suggests a quiet room is already at 50db which is well above what it's should be. And where are the weightings? This should have A and C weighting or it's worse than useless.

Totally useless

I've got this app on in the middle of the night, we don't live in a city, we live in an area where there is lots of farmland and not much traffic. It's constantly registering at 100db. Waste of time and money if you was unlucky enough to have paid for it. This may not be the developers fault though as the microphone on the iPad and iPhone isn't designed for this kind of use.

Cool Sound Analyser "App" that works just fine and has decent Graphics too and is better than many some of the boring versions out there? And appears accurate too...😄😄😄

Pretty good

Interface needs some work to simplify, such as a button that says email data, as this is it's selling point, and would prefer raw data, not ave data in report, but does a good job and is consistent.

Waste of time

Just had a sound test company in to do a sound test and their equipment gave readings of at least 20 decibels less than this app. Don't waste any time or effort on this app. Completely useless for genuine use or readings.

Decibel Meter

I'm using the app to identify if and for how long my dog barks when I leave the house. It is easy to use and very sensitive - when I export the data into a spreadsheet, I can "hear" me shutting the door and identify when cars pass the house. So far the dog has not barked! My only criticism is that I have to export data to a spreadsheet in order to look at the data. The graph in the app only shows the last 60 seconds or so. However since it does show the maximum decibels recorded that figure does tell me if there has been any loud noise which would prompt me to export and look at the data.
