Pretentious gatekeeping rubbish.
There are no benefits to this app. The idea in the beginning wasn’t even what people look for. It totally goes against what we know music as nowadays. People stream. Get with it or get out. Music evolves and so does the way we listen to it. The description is the most pretentious gatekeeping attempt I have seen in a while. Totally removing the majority of music listeners from the user base, and going out of your way to prove that your app is the best because you don’t allow streamers?
And that’s before you even download the app. The user is expected to download (Or dare I say stream) to their device via FTP or through the web. I download my music to iTunes and then expect my new music player to at the very least sync libraries. You cannot listen to this streamed music offline, which was the whole point of downloading.
FTP is also quite a big security risk blah blah blah you should already know this but my point is not to go in the way of file transfer but the way that it syncs through an FTP client instead of iTunes which has much better support and is optimised for Apple devices.
Awesome minimal music player
This is a great little app. I love the minimalism, it plays whatever files you chuck at it, and then stays out of your way. The antidote to the default bloated Apple Music app.
