The difficulty on easy mode is also unbalanced. Every time I play, the outcome is the same; starts easy… when nearing 10 threats remaining, the difficulty becomes harder, ie dice roll results become terrible, harder threats are reveals. After 5 threats, I get swarmed. Then finally I lose. EVERY GAME. Easy mode is only easy if you have more than 15-20 threats left. When further reduced, forget it. This is lame and broken.
For what it is, it’s pretty good
I tan across this app and redownloaded it. On cell phone screens, like my 12, the tutorial text font is right at the edge decernability why do all developers have this same flaw, to use the smallest font possible.
Great but could have more options…
Great little game though I wish there were more options. Since the creator of the app isn’t selling this I don’t understand why the game creator would reject allowing”fan-made” ships or cards.
Personally, I would be more drawn to the full boardgame knowing the full rules, which these are not. These are the print & play rules.
Here’s to hoping! 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Awesome game!
Deep Space D-6 is a great little dice management game that takes the guesswork out of the rules of the physical game but retains all the tactical decision making.
I still bought a physical copy of the game because it’s super nice and it’s fun to alter the rules. And who doesn’t love throwing dice?
Finally finished
Well, I have played the game for about a year now, and I just finished all the achievements. The hat trick was the hardest. What a great game! Thanks, Devs!
Y’all fill the tip jar now, ya hear?
Total Random Trash
The implementation is great, kudos to the developer, but the game itself is just totally random trash.
You can literally lose an entire run due to rolling three of the same result on 6 dice.
You might as well flip coins and pretend you’re a winner or loser based on how many flips you guess right. Or try to guess a stranger’s birthdate. If you get it wrong, you “lose”! Oh no!
Avoid.
Too Luck Based
Like many others have said, this app is well designed and bug free HOWEVER after about 15-20 rounds, it is near impossible to overcome a series of bad rolls leading to your death. It’s almost impossible to win because of how luck based and heavily stacked the game mechanic is against you.
Great one handed portrait play
Simple game mechanic. Turn based, portrait, one thumb, free with no ads or IAP. Balance of strategy and luck. Several hours of fun.
beautiful app so-so game
like other reviewers, i find how often you have to toss out useless dice and get stuck in an overwhelming amount of threats frustrating. HOWEVER this is one of the board game to app ports ive tried that is beautiful and intuitively designed and works well. additionally the developer is offering this for free without ads! even if i get annoyed with my current game, i can foresee myself returning to the app often as the developer lets me play the game with ease and convenience over the original print and play.
Fun but rough
Amazing Game!
But the randomness ruins sessions immediately. I played about 6-8 games on varying difficulties and they all ended in my demise for stupid reasons. That’s it and that’s fine, but it isn’t for me long term.
