Worked fine until recent iPhone update 18 now we are 18.2 with no fix, can’t use playback or other features app keeps freezing up. Playback crashes and does not display anything but a box with a back arrow the doesn’t work and closes the app. Have to always select the camera systems to view live feed when they used to load automatically.
Please , when you gonna update the aplicacion to make it work with the new iphone ios 18.1.1? Use to work with the older apple version software, without wifi connection You guys should not forget about your customers who spend a lot money buying your survillance systems. Defender USA was not ready for IOS 18, this isn’t the first time the server or the app has failed. The unreliable service has left me no choice but to look elsewhere for a new surveillance system, unless I can get a fix for my current service.
Cannot access cameras and playback features on app. They did not update their software in 4+ years. When the iPhone updated to 18.0 it stopped working. This becomes a security risk to my FAMILY!!!!! Please fix it!!!
Since iOS 18 I have to add my device to view live feed every time I open the app. Playback is also unavailable.
1. Playback feature disappeared since IOS 18 update mid September 2. Every morning app resets and I have to select live cameras for display again 3. If app is not used for approximately 5 minutes, live cameras frames take about 50 seconds to load and show.
App can’t connect to dvr’s, unable to view camera’s. Support only email, no way to contact someone by phone .
Other then picture quality, and the ability to record, both of which you can get with any, ANY, other system out there, there’s not much good about Defender or their so called “app”! Their app is completely worthless and there’s no support. There’s never any updates and there’s never an my attempt to make it better let alone fix anything. o assume it’s in the hopes you’ll just buy another system. Which I will. But I won’t be anything made by Defender! No, I will never buy another Defender system again! The cameras don’t last. Not but maybe 3 years in and the infrared puked on one camera. Now, two other cameras have developed vertical multi-colored lines. I can see now why many spend the money on Ring! Or any other brand out for that matter. At least with Ring, and many other systems; their apps work and it’s easy to share video if need be. Playback and sharing on this app is the worst! Never again!
