Too much for too little
As someone who sings the praises of Dehancer OFX in DaVinci and have purchased a lifetime license, the cost of this app is simply too high. It’s more expensive than the cost of the DaVinci Plugin with severely limited usage.

After trying Dehancer for video I found the app and use it everyday as a finishing step. No pics go without running them through the app. Would recommend for anyone trying to get the film look.
Absoloutely LOVE all the features on this app, totally amps up footage for posts etc so well! Especially now that FCP is available on iPad 🙌🏻😍
There are a bunch of comments about the price but there is no price listed anywhere?
Fun to use. Have a combination of presets and a range of film profiles to choose from and allows many adjustment to fine tune the image. Only down side was the laggy playback (dropped frames playback) when applying film emulation to video. (This might have been a limitation on my phone itself and might not be the app)
Dear Dehancer, I’ve been quite the fan of using your app. Seldom does any photograph or video I take leave without being processed through it, but there is one slight problem I’ve been having, and that concerns the videos I import. They tend to look more pixelated than how they usually appear when I see them on my iPhone, and I try to compensate for that using the ‘Defringe’ and ‘Grain’ settings, but I’m wondering if this could be addressed and alleviated in possible future iterations.
The emulations really are mediocre at best. I will admit, the bloom and halation features are cool. The app lacks basic editing functionality that can be found in the free Lightroom app. No shadow or highlight adjustments, no sharpness slider, etc. Also the price is an absolute joke. You might as well just shoot real film for what they are asking since it wouldn’t be much more expensive. Price is absolutely laughable considering I would still need to take the photo through Lightroom after because this app lacks basic editing features.
Easy to use and many looks available.
Dehancer does a great job at making it easy to transform your iphone pictures from the ultra sharp, high contrast processed default look to a much nicer, softer and pleasant film-esque image.
I really love the app. It’s powerful simple, and does a great job emulating the film. The only draw back is the pricing unfortunately. Other than that, the app does a great job at turning my phone into a film camera.
