Democracy Now!

I’ve been listening to “Democracy Now!” for years, it’s one of the few new sources that actually stimulates people to look up additional information about the stories that they cover. I never heard about a military base in Diego Garcia until I heard about it on “Democracy Now!”. There are all kinds of examples of information that nobody is talking about other than Amy Goodman, Juan Gonzalez and company. Thank you and please keep up the excellent journalism!

The news content is great but the streaming can be tough to use. Especially if you want to watch the live shows in the morning. If you aren’t watching on a WiFi connection, the stream nessus up a lot. It would also be really nice to have audio only available during live. It doesn’t work well for commuters.

To explain my 2 stars - I love love love DN! and want to use the app to share to social media (instead of the website on a browser), but it’s far too glitchy to do so. I listen to the podcast version on Apple Podcast daily and always want to turn to the app right away to go share the videos and articles. The app is great in so many ways - in terms of accessibility of and easily searching for content. But the articles are glitchy and at this time, I am unable to scroll past the first paragraph. I can see that there are “modules” of text etc that kinda move around when I try to scroll and it won’t scroll past the first one. I have barely used the app because in the past when I *could* read the full article, when I wanted to copy portions of the transcript to share with the link, it wouldn’t allow me to do more one paragraph at a time. I always put it in my mind to go to my laptop to the website to share when I’m able, but life gets busy and I forget. It would be great to go to the app as I’m listening away from my laptop to immediately share what I’m listening to. Please look into it and update the app (it’s been two years?) - I would love love love to use it!!

Love the news. But the app is very buggy and does not work very well.

Amy, Juan, and Nermeen are inspirations as well as the whole production team!! Amazing journalism and the app works fine. No complaints!

I truly appreciate Democracy Now! which is one place I find world need daily. However, the app have streaming issues such that it consistently rewinds live shows and/or freezes indefinitely. I would love to listen to the live show without these challenges and have yet to encounter a smooth streaming experience. I’ve used the app for about 6 months.

Today once again the sound level is set too low. 😞

Great app, though it would be excellent if there was a streaming tab in order to stream a live broadcast directly to a tv connected device.

I would love to use this app because I love DN News coverage and can't get this kind of information elsewhere, but I can't scroll normally. It freezes up and part of the screen may scroll, and it may work, but then it stops working again, so it all adds up to being unusable for me :(
