The app just doesn’t work. There is no way in the app to change the resolution while connected to the scope. But you can’t connect to the scope after setting the resolution. I’m using the UFE300
Seems to happen usually when I need to position something precisely, with a smooth video stream: suddenly I'm seeing a slideshow, with one image every not-so-few seconds. Infuriating. Great when it works.
When using the app will freeze. Additionally, the video/picture quality is extremely grainy unless you are right on top of something, which makes navigation to find the issue difficult. The firmness of the scope itself is nice, but difficult to maneuver around to get that right on top of it view to see if you’ve actually found what whatever it is you are looking for.
My carpenter put in a wall with 2 inch holes in three studs 16 inches apart. But he forgot, or didn’t understand, to run a string in there so I could run my Ethernet cable later. And now the wall is up. I have access on this side and the back side, but there are three studs there I have to fish wire through … in a wall with no other access. I used this app and a Depstech endoscope. I taped the wire to the endoscope. I also taped the endoscope with the wire to about 5 feet of bendable water tubing, but still rigid enough to make the run. Then I used this app to aim for the holes. Everything worked great!
No longer works in the newest iOS, hasn’t been updated in 10+ months
What an absolute piece of garbage. Do not waste your money on the Chinese crap that goes with this crap app.
1. App support site is in Chinese. That’s fine if their target customer base is largely in China. I suspect, however, that much of their business is from U.S. customers. 2. This app supports a variety of cameras, including endoscopes and otoscopes. These commonly require use of two hands—one to hold the camera, and the other to deter obstructions. Anyone with even the tiniest fragment of a brain would know the app requires the option of an adjustable countdown timer to enable taking snapshots in such situations (because both hands are occupied to get a clear camera view, so there is no free hand to take the picture). Otherwise, shooting video is the only means of getting the picture, and that’s inefficient. To repeat: total f—ing morons!
Just realized the app doesn’t work on iPhone 14 with endoscope It just keeps saying to connect to wifi even though it’s connected I’m going to try to argue with Amazon to get a refund. This is absolute trash and a rip off.
It needs a mirror view function in the app so that you can manipulate things in view more intuitively. Sometimes laggy connection. Good for the price.
