Desert X Reviews

Simple and easy to use

This was a very easy to follow map at the desert and I like the fact that they showed me the pictures to see and know what to expect when I arrive. The one suggestion I do have is to let the consumers now there might be a hike to get to the place from the parking spaces.

Art is great but new map is awful! -Fixed!

They fixed it from the below review. Re-rating. But still don’t think it needs dark mode- but happy I can look at a flat map again. Thanks! This new map is horrible. It looks fancy but not manageable or functional. Please go back to last year’s map!! I would expect to use it to understand where in the valley each exhibit was and be able to get directions from it or at least get a comprehensible view of where the exhibit was. Had to go to each individual page of the exhibit and get directions from there. But when you are doing a tour- you want to see which exhibit is closest to you. Map snaps back and you can barely see the blue dot that says where you are nor the street you are on.

Glad there’s an app but Not user friendly.

In the past this app worked for what it was intended, finding the different art exhibits. This year the app isn’t user friendly at all. The map recenters itself and doesn’t allow to properly find a location.

Useless compared to the website

Why is there no option for a top-down view? The app provides zero help in actually navigating Desert X and instead just opens website pages in web view. There’s no reason for this app to exist other than be an annoying nuisance, sorry.

Really enjoy Desert X! I was on a mission today looking for the locations and had a really hard time finding some pieces. It would be great if you could update the app with the correct addresses. Thank you!

Great to have a app to help plan vista to the exhibits. I had the plot on my own map last time using only lat / long coordinates! The pictures and and descriptions are great. Suggest offer to play the text via Bluetooth to car audio.

Doesn’t let you plan a drive list

He ain't THAT good on

United States

Sure it has a map. Sure it lists all the spots. Sure, in an artsy way, it might look cool to some. But I think it’s cumbersome and lacks the ability to actually plan a trip from point to point within the app. So you have to look at the address on the app and then get out of the app to another map to plot a drive to it. 🙄🤦🏻‍♂️ Why do I feel like people still think they’re in the late 20th century in the way these Apps are written? Why do these apps not have the coordination with the map company they’ve hired to do be able to do trips within the app itself??? If you’re going to do that, just give me all the locations in one list so I can copy and paste it all and move them over. Why do I have to keep clicking on one thing and then get out and click on another??? It’s asinine is what it is. And lazy.

When I think of user friendly I think of the desert x app. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, it’s very informative. I have nothing but good things to say about this app and I tell all my friends to download it if they plan on visiting any desert x cites. Also the developer of the desert x app is the best person ever.

Amazing
