I paid to unlock all features. Problem: even with paid app, when opening the app icon you can’t surf right on. You have to click on „browse the internet“ in order to open a webpage. Unnecessary since it is obvious that with a desktop browsing app- that my intention is browsing ;) Would be nice to implement the following: Auto start in a Browser when opening the app. BR!

They’ve gone from 5 second ads to full on 30 second ads after every 2-3 clicks/taps??? Greedy for sponsor money, I will be deleting this app after 3+ years of using it

[This review has two halves; I wrote the first in 2019, when I got got Browser; I wrote the second at the end of 2024; my first review hails Browser as wondrous, essential; my second laments its failure] 2019: This browser loads web pages and then forces them to present their desktop layouts. It takes just a moment—you'll see the mobile version appear first. In the meantime, this app is wrestling with the website's code, overpowering the will of those who want you to submit to their control. After about two or three seconds—victory! And it is so sweet. I'd been tortured for years by Safari's ineffectual "request" for the desktop version of a website. In the 21st century corporate world, to request is to fail. The people must have the power to enforce our rights. This app wields that power. 2024: I cannot distinguish the behavior of this app from the default iOS Safari browser. When Safari does not do what I need, I try this app, and I get the exact same result. I do not know the technical basis of this app. Maybe it was always built on a framework which is shared with Safari; if so, then it once had powerful abilities which surpassed those of the iOS browser. Today it seems to do almost nothing that Safari cannot.

I had initially written a long and scathing review about this worthless app, criticizing its monetization, lack of basic functionality, and bugs, but it was cleared by iOS before I could publish it. This is a prime example of the inevitable fate of a monetized, closed proprietary ecosystem. This is the only iOS browser that offers basic desktop functionality, yet is so malformed and unusable that it serves only now as an example of what the Apple platform has become. Download it yourself, explore its anti-features, bugs, and user traps. I am tired of buggy, worthless ‘apps’ demanding monetary payment to do something mundane. I am tired of full-screen pop up video advertisements. I am tired of not being in control, of not truly being permitted to use your own device, of having to pray to the mercy of the App Gods to come to your rescue. I am moving on, maybe to open Android, hopefully to Linux on phone, but never looking back.

You cant even browse the internet without the app requiring you watch a 30 second ad every 3 minutes. The ad takes up the entire screen. The 5 star review asked “how is this not popular”, yea talk about a fake review. Nobody is using this garbage browser because its unusable.
