2018 Tiguan - I was able to replace the rear brakes by releasing the electronic parking brake.

Smog due tdi sport wagon

Needed to smog 2013 Jetta sportwagon and needed to do regen of dpf to set readiness monitor. Was able to force regen and get this done. On 2006 tdi beetle it was able to tell me radio antenna was bad, something that regular scanners were unaware of. Not tried to do any coding with it yet but otherwise seems to do it all. More then most users will even need.

Don’t buy this garbage

VW app

Don’t let this intimidate you , once “I” figured out what “I” was doing it worked great . I am still figuring it out but it connected and read everything including features my car doesn’t have it would just go to next one if my car didn’t have that feature. Also it looks like you aren’t just buying one car like its sounds but looks like you may get all of that make and not just one model still figuring out the $ signs on some of the codes but anyway it worked for me on 2001 Golf !

Did not work for a VW Routan

DanSchn on

I really was excited about the Autel AP200. The extra module worked well from my Honda Pilot. It checked all the systems out. I purchased the VW module for my 2010 Routan. It would not connect. The base obd scan worked. My blue reader as well as an older hand held scanner also able to read the van but not this module. I did what it asked to resolve the issue but to no avail. This module even said there was an error with the vin number. Its all the original electronics so the vin number should be fine. As I looked even for the manual selection of the vehicle the Routan is not listed. Update: The module for the VW Routan is under the Chrysler module. I purchased that and it works great! All the functions that I tried work just as it is advertised. So it looks like the descriptions just need to be clearer but this may be the only vehicle which has this issue. I raised my rating from one star to three for this add module. The Autel OBD II reader works really well and it’s definitely a five star device!
